"WHAT were you thinking, Maya? I've been up all night trying to figure out where you went. This is it. You pushed the limits too far. I gave you another chance. You, once again, broke my trust. What is it going to take to get through to you? Huh?" Shawn's frustration level was through the roof. He yelled so loud and long into the phone that his voice cracked. "...Where even are you right now?"

"Hey, calm down, alright? I'm just at Farkle's house."

"Well, stay put. I'm going to get you."

Shawn violently ended the call.

"Let me come with you, Shawn." John said. "I think you need some support."

"Yeah, whatever. I might need someone to hold me back. I don't know who I'm more mad at: Maya or Farkle. What does she even see in him?"

"It's hard to say what goes on in teenagers' heads...Just be patient, K? Let her explain herself. I'm sure there's a good reason for this."

"There better be, or I'm going to END someone." Shawn stomped into the car with John following behind him. The car ride felt slow and tense, like a steep climb before the inevitable, heart-stopping drop on a roller coaster. Shawn ran up to the house and pounded his fist on Farkle's door.

"Let me in. NOW. I know you're there." Shawn yelled.

"Cool it, man. You're going to scare the neighbors." John tried to calm him down.

"DON'T tell me to cool it. I'M as COOL as they GET." Shawn's eyes were bloodshot and intense as he got in John's face. "But you know what I don't get? How Maya is in the biggest trouble of her life, and you're not blowing up. You would've skinned me for disappearing for more than an afternoon, let alone a day or t-"

"Hello?" Maya nonchalantly opened the door as if it was her house and nothing strange at all had occurred.

"No. That is not gonna cut it. Hello? Really?" Shawn stood crossing his arms. "Where's Farkle? I'd like a word with him."

"He's just in the shower. He'll be out in a bit."

"In the shower huh? Well, I sure hope you didn't just hop right in there with him."

"I'm right here talking to you. My hair is dry. Of course I didn't. DUH." Maya impersonated Farkle's laughing outburst.

"Ya know what? Drop the attitude. As soon as I'm finished with him, I'll finish you."

"Oh, real threatening. We weren't doing anything, I swear. Just get off my back."

Shawn, ignoring her remark, started off to find Farkle. It was John's turn to deal with Maya.

"Maya, don't push it. He's been real patient with you." John interjected. Maya replied with an intense stare and a middle finger. "THAT IS ENOUGH." John grabbed Maya's arm and escorted her to the vehicle. "You have five seconds to apologize before I do something I'll regret." Maya struggled out of his grip.
