Maya's POV:

Okay, I am now 8 and a half months pregnant (I think that's like 34 weeks out of the 40 total?), and I tell ya what, walking is a real chore. Nothing is an easy task when you are this pregnant. It was just ridiculous trying to waddle through the shopping mall, dodging crowds of people with their dumb judgmental faces, not to mention the constant waves of nausea. I swear, I had puked so much the previous day that my stomach was sure to be empty, yet somehow I wasn't at all hungry. I was just plain exhausted. I didn't even care that Shawn and Topanga were holding each of my hands to keep my pace. I found it reassuring to know they had my back (Farkle would've come with but he works 40 plus hours a week now). They dragged me into Osh Kosh B'Gosh (I know, quite the name) to look at baby outfits. Everything was so cute, I wanted to die. I couldn't help but gush out a few sappy tears. I still can't believe this is happening. Pinch me. Am I even ready for this?

"Awe, Maya, are you alright?" Topanga questioned as she rubbed Maya's arm.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just...There's so much cuteness everywhere." Maya said in a glum voice.

"Then why is it that you have tears in your eyes?" Topanga prodded.

"They're just...happy tears...It's fine." Maya wiped her eyes with her sleeve. Topanga and Shawn exchanged concerned looks. "I am fine, really." Maya reassured.

"Okay...Hey, what do you think of this bib that says 'I give koala-ty hugs', huh?" Topanga giggled.

Maya eyed the piece of cloth up and down, then let out a muffled sob. Topanga pulled her into her inviting embrace, cutting off Shawn's invite for a hug. "Maya, what is going on? Topanga pried.

"Maya?" Shawn shuffled nervously. He tried to rationalize it. "It's probably just the pregnancy hormones working." He theorized.

"How about we take a break from the shopping? Let's go get you something to eat." Topanga suggested.

"I'm not at all hungry to be honest." Maya said, moping.

Topanga wouldn't take no for an answer. She grabbed Maya's hand and marched her out of the store with Shawn rushing behind.

Maya halted, panting. An instant pain lurched in her brain. "I can't...Let me sit somewhere." She shuffled forward, then tilted off balance. She would've hit the floor if it wasn't for Shawn behind her to catch her fall. He lowered her to the floor and held her head on his shoulder as she hyperventilated.

Shawn's POV:

Topanga just had to push Maya to her limit. She always has to push. Now here we are in the emergency room. I hope whatever it is that made Maya faint is something of an easy fix. We've been waiting here for two hours already. How much longer can they make us wait? I guess all I can do now is try to make Maya comfortable, unless of course, Topanga needs to be the 'savior' and helicopter over her like she does. It's not like she's Maya's mother or something. She acts like she's everyone's mother.

"How are you feeling, Maya?" Topanga asked, wiping the hair from Maya's eyes.

"Why don't you just leave her alone? You've done enough for one day." Shawn jeered.

"Um...excuse me? It's not my fault she nearly fainted, Shawn. Things like these just happen. It's not normal for healthy pregnant women to just go on fainting like this out of nowhere." Topanga retorted.

"Just leave me alone if you two are going to fight, okay? It's getting really annoying." Maya rolled her eyes.

"Here, Maya, you should drink some water." Topanga lifted the water glass to Maya's lips. Maya turned her head in defiance.
