~WARNING: If you don't like to hear about teen pregnancy for whatever reason, I understand. However, the next few parts are going to be dealing heavily in the subject.

Maya had tried to sneak out past her curfew to see Farkle again, while she was still grounded (she's always grounded). She didn't realize however, that while she began to put one foot out the window, Shawn would be right behind her. He pulled her back with such force that she hit the ground with a thud. "Ouch, hey!...oh...it's you. I'm in trouble, aren't I?"

"Yep. BIG." Shawn sat down on her bed and gestured for her to come over. "What were you thinking, huh? I know you too well. That was not your first escape tonight. Tell me the truth. Was it your second, third?"

Maya shifted uncomfortably, refusing to come nearer to Shawn. "I...this was my first. I swear."

Shawn gave a lengthy and intense stare at Maya, trying to read her facial expressions. "...You sure?"

"Yup." She looked down at the floor.

Shawn hesitated, giving a suspicious glance. "And that's your final answer?"

"Stickin' to it."

"That's fine..." Shawn got up and slowly approached Maya's dresser, looking for something. "Oh, here it is."

"What...are you doing?" Maya began to back up nervously. She could see the hairbrush in his hand.

"Come here, and you'll find out."

"Nah. I'm good right here."

Shawn was growing more annoyed by the second. He knew she wouldn't comply, so he bolted toward her, grabbing her by the arm. The next thing Maya knew, she was staring at the floor. Shawn raised his arm. "Tell me why you deserve this, Maya. Spell it out for me."

"I-" Maya began to stutter but couldn't finish her thought.

"Hey! What's going on here?" It was Cory. He happened to be playing poker at Shawn's house that night but came up when he heard commotion. "Drop the brush, Shawn." The comment startled Shawn, abruptly suspending his arm in mid-air. Maya exhaled in relief.

"You of all people, Cor, should 100% be in support of this. Remember when you threatened me even? She pushed too far. I've gotta push back." He raised his arm higher.

"Stop! Just hear me out." Cory said.

Shawn rolled his eyes and paused again. "What?"

"Why don't you trust her? If she says she didn't do something, she didn't."

"C'mon...this is Maya. You know she's lying." Both men stared at Maya and sighed in defeat.

"Yeah, you might be right, but something doesn't feel right here." Cory leaned to one side and put a finger to his mouth in thought.
