They all stared at you.
"I, uh..." you started, rubbing the back of your neck. "Look..." You tentatively looked between each of the boys, but your gaze lingered on Jeremy.
Meeting eyes, you smiled and he turned red. He raised a shaky finger and pointed to his own chest. Me? he mouthed.
You nodded. Yes, you mouthed back.
You didn't think you'd ever saw anyone blush as hard as he did in that moment.
Fritz's eyes darted between you and Jeremy throughout your little interaction, scrutinizing. "Goddamnit," he sighed in defeat. "Congrats, Jere. (Y/N) thinks you're hot."
Mike looked disappointed, but he held his tongue, instead opting to cross his arms.
Vincent huffed. "Whatever," he said. "There's always more fish in the sea..." He turned to leave, but he hovered by the door. "Let's still keep in touch (Y/N), okay? You've really been a great friend to me." Then he disappeared outside.
"Never thought I'd say this, but... I think I'm gonna follow Vincent out," Mike said. "I'll see you guys around." He disappeared along with Vince.
Fritz stared after them. "They sure were eager to leave, huh?"
Jeremy drifted closer to your side and wrung his hands together. "Hey, Fritz, I uh, I'm sorry about-- about all this."
Fritz chuckled breathily and smiled, shuffling on his feet. "It's fine. You and (Y/N) are good for each anyway."
Jeremy smiled. "Th-Thanks."
---
You grunted as you grabbed the last cardboard box from the trunk. It was heavy as hell, but it was kind of you to help Jeremy out in moving all of his stuff into his new, cheaper apartment. An apartment that he could actually afford.
"Please be c-careful with that one, okay...?" Jeremy slammed the trunk closed and limped beside you as you struggled to the apartment building.
When you got to the elevator, he pressed the button for you. "Th-thanks for helping me out today."
You said it was no problem.
"W-who knows, maybe I'll-- I'll be moving in with you one day... or v-vise versa, yunno."
You smiled a little at the thought. The elevator doors opened and you stepped inside.
When you got inside his room, Jeremy gripped the cardboard box and helped you gently lower it to the floor. When it was on the floor, Jeremy sighed in relief and sat down next to it. You followed suit, asking what was in the box.
Jeremy gave you a morose look and pried the top flaps of the box open. You peered inside and saw framed photographs, scrapbooks, loose pictures and other things of the sort. All were of a woman. She looked a lot like Jeremy.
"Memories..." Jeremy mumbled. "Memories of Mom."
You closed the box and grabbed his hand.
His brow furrowed as he picked at threads in the carpet. "God, I just-- I really m-miss her, man. So... fucking much."
You held Jeremy's hand tighter, and leaning over the box, you planted a soft kiss on his cheek. He blushed and turned to face you. "I th-think I wanna try that-- that kiss again," he whispered. "The one-- the one at the museum I got t-too nervous to do right."
He drifted forward, and so did you. Focusing on your eyes, he made his move. His lips met yours, and even though it wasn't much, it seemed pretty special.
He pulled back and you watched his face. He was looking past you towards the window. "It's snowing," he said. He grabbed both of your hands and smiled at you. "L-Let's go outside." His breath was kind of lemony.
