after that day you decided to console yourself by going to Fritz about it. you knew he cared about you so maybe he could offer you some comfort. You didn't actually know his number, so you had to check the phone book. it took a while, but you finally placed your finger on it and dialed the number.

Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring.

a mechanic voice spoke. It told you to leave a message after the tone.

You didn't say anything, just hung up and redialed.

"Y/N? What do you want?"

You told him he was right about vincent, at least partially. you told him about the dates and how you thought he was amazing the first time, but the second time around he acted strangely suspicious. you didn't tell Fritz about the kissing.

Fritz was silent the whole time you explained, and he still didn't make a sound for a while after you finished, thoughtful. was he still there?

"See, I did tell you so. maybe you should have listened!"

"if you had, that wouldn't have happened! think about things next time."

you were hurt.

"And rather than ignoring your friends for your new boytoy, you could have at least filled them in! updated them with whatever was going on! something!"

"Jere's pretty upset. go talk to him, instead." and then he hung up.

Jeremy! You hadn't spoken to him, or even seen him, since Monday. 6 days ago. you had his phone number. you quickly made your way to your small desk and fished through the singular drawer to find the slip of paper it was written on.

You stumbled back in to the kitchen and dialed with one hand.

ring-- "Hello?" jeremy picked up before the 2nd ring could even start.

you told him you were coming over.
