The door to the back room creaked open.
Mike clicked the flashlight on and panned it across the room. It was smaller than you expected, and dusty as hell.
A metal shelf was pushed up against the back wall, all sorts of animatronic parts on it, including heads. To the right was a metal table, with a wooden shelf bolted to the wall above it. That one held tools. On the left was what seemed to be a pile of old, broken parts, discarded. You recognized some of them as parts from the old animatronics back at the old place.
You honesty didn't even know this room existed until Scott mentioned it on the tape. It wasn't on the cameras, and the door was disguised as part of the wall. But you had been determined to check this room out, and you were determined to examine the heads. It was Scott's dying wish. After rifling through old papers left in the desk in the office, you found a map of the layout. Using it, Mike and you found the room.
You made your way across the place with confidence, stepping over the robot parts that had been strewn across the floor without much care. Mike stepped a little further into the room, keeping the light trained on you.
You snatched one of the heads and turned it upside-down, looking in through the neck-hole. You didn't know what you had expected. There was nothing in there. You turned it right-side up again, and shook it. Still, nothing came out. You shrugged and put it back on the shelf. You had the thought that Scott wasn't actually missing anything, that the heads were empty, but it didn't comfort you. It just made you feel worse, if anything.
You hated this pizzeria.
"You find anything in there?"
You faced Mike and shook your head.
"Yeah, kind of what I was expecting. You gonna check the other ones for good measure?"
Sure. As you began to look inside each and every head on the shelf, something gold-ish caught the corner of your eye. Your head swiveled to the left, and you absentmindedly place the head in your hands back on the shelf where you found it. There was something in the pile of broken parts.
"What's wrong? Did you see something?" Mike was concerned.
You waved him over to you, and asked him to point the light at the pile of parts. He obeyed, and soon enough you were able to pull whatever it was out of the pile.
Both of you stared at it questioningly. It seemed to be... another animatronic? It looked sort of like a recolored Bonnie. It was golden. You turned to Mike. He turned to you. You both shrugged.
"Weird."
Later that day, you went to your local library and looked up any possible answers as to what that suit could have been from. You came across an article about a place called Fredbear's Family Diner. From what you learned, it was the very first restaurant created by Fazbear Entertainment. It had two main mascots, Freddie Fredbear and and Spring Bonnie. The restaurant was closed down due to a horrific accident, and renamed into the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria chain in order to avoid the negative rumors associated with the name.
