"Are you alright Amphitrite?" Hux asked. There was obvious fear in Amphitrite. In her voice and in her expression. You would have to be blind not to notice how she seemed so terrified. "You killed them." She said as a wave of realization seemed to wash over her as she connected the dots. "You killed them all." "I'm sorry?" Hux said, clearly confused by her hysteria. "My parents. You killed them." "Amphitrite have you lost your mind?" Hux asked, now concerned for the young girl. "What did Ren do to you..." "it's not what Ren did to me, but what you did to my family. You killed the king and queen of Statera. My parents." Hux's eyes widened as he put together what she was saying. "How do you-" "it doesn't matter." She hissed. "You killed them. All of them." She repeated. "I did what I had to do. I had my orders and you have yours." He retaliated sternly. "This planet is no place for a good and loyal member of the First Order." "We are both good and loyal people." Amphitrite sneered. "This is your home, don't try to corrupt what is already good." "My home was with my family."
Hux groaned. Amphitrite seemed to desire to be difficult. "Stop playing this game, Amphitrite, I beg you." "We both know it's not a game." Amphitrite pleaded with him. Hux's expressions had become sour as he tried to argue with the girl, to show his intentions were not ill meant to her. He finally surrendered on that approached, growing tired of arguing with the girl. "If you really are the child of the leaders of this pathetic planet, do you really think history wants you to have lived?" "Yes I do!" Amphitrite cried, now a more hurt look on her face and deep in her blue eyes. Her next words were much softer. "Why don't you?" Hux had it with this girl. She was trying to twist his mind, or at least that's what he thought she was doing. He snapped. "The policitally powerful rose up, took everything from their people and gave back nothing! That is until the First Order rose up and destroyed them." "But not me!" Amphitrite snapped back, feeling a strange sense of power surge through her veins. A sudden burst of confidence blossomed in her features. "Finish it." She hissed at him, standing tall. "I am my father's daughter." Hux had finally had more then he could take. "And I am my father's son!"
Hux pulled his blaster from it's holster and aimed it at Amphitrite who continued to stand tall, even though a gun was pointed at her chest. The click of the safety being disabled filled her eyes with fear and reality set in for her. "Finish it I must." Hux growled, stepping closer to her, encaging her in. Amphitrite 's hands curled into fists as she stared down the barrel of his blaster, unyielding and strong. "I pray that in me you will see them." Amphitrite said, her voice soft but still holding power as her blue eyes were keen in looking into his. "See their face's in mine, Hux. Remember their terror, hear their screams. Picture their blood!" Hux's grip on his blaster tightened as he didn't yield. "Do it. And I will finally be at peace with my family where I belong." It was almost as if those very people were with her, Hux began to remember it all. The screams of innocent people being killed. Their blood seeping into the white snow. And most importantly, the terror in their eyes. He looked at Amphitrite and could almost picture her family behind her, a vision of the past, before they were executed. A shiver washed through Hux's body. How could he do this? How could he kill the one person to ever show him kindness just because of his orders. The blaster fell from his hand and Hux dropped to his knees in front of Amphitrite. "I can't." He muttered. Amphitrite stepped closer to him and Hux wrapped his arms around her waist as he burried his face into her stomach. "I can't do it." He added. The woman in his arms remained strong. She ran her fingers through his ginger hair as she held him nestled against her body. "You are the only person to show me kindness..." he said, his voice muffled against her clothes. "I can't just kill you... I can't loose that feeling." Amphitrite's demeanor became soft. "It's alright, Hux." She told him with a soft tone of voice. "No it's not." Hux replied. "I have hurt you in ways I Cannot imagine. All I can do now is beg for your forgiveness." "I have already forgiven you." Hux looked up at her, surprised by her words. "How?" He asked. "The second you broke I knew you regretted your past. It's alright Hux. I won't hold you accountable for something you regret. It's in the past." Hux had never experienced the forgiveness of someone so pure. He had never been forgiven so quickly either. No one treated him the way this girl did, with so much kindness that it practically radiated from her body. Hux quickly took one of her hands in his, still kneeling before her, and pressed his lips to her fingers. "Thank you, my lady."
