XXVI

• Energy Elementals •

Amphitrite looked down at her hands and then at the man who she had known to be her entire world, the man who had just tried to kill her. "What did you do to him?" The voice of her sister called and Amphitrite turned to her. "I blocked his connection to the force." Amphitrite said and just then Kylo's eyes shot open. His legs were still encased in ice, keeping him held to the ground, but that didn't stop him from trying desperately to break free. "What did you do to me?" He screamed at Amphitrite. The blonde girl could hardly even look at him. What was once a gorgeous prince who was kissed by darkness was now a raging animal, trying to escape it's trap. Amphitrite turned to her sister, she chose not to answer the man she had captured. "Let's go." She told her softly before leading her into the forest, far away from the first order base and even farther away from Kylo Ren.

Kylo Ren stomped through the halls of the first order base. His dark robes were dusted with snow and he was still freezing from the crisp air of the outside. Stormtroopers just passed him by, knowing he was furious. He clutched his mask in his hands which was a definite sign of irritation in the man, Kylo never walked around without his mask on without a good reason and usually it was because he was furious. "What's the matter with you?" Hux asked as he scowled at the man. Kylo only looked at him for a brief second before pushing past him. But Hux followed, they were both heading to the same place. "Did Supreme Leader ask to speak with you?" Kylo asked the general through clenched teeth. "Yes," Hux responded dryly. "He requested an update on the progress of Star Killer and since you were too busy having a snowball fight with your foolish 'princess' I decided to bring it to him." Kylo did not say anything in response but he curled his fingers into fists. Anger flushed through him as he approached Snoke's quarters.

"Supreme leader," Kylo began, his voice shrill and panicked as he entered the room with Hux at his side. "Ren," Snoke began, his voice dry and unamused. "What is the meaning of this? You have no business here. General Hux has already agreed to bring me the update on Star Killer Base." "Supreme Leader," Kylo continued as he instantly kneeled before the man. "The girl, she's done something to me. I do not know what and no matter how hard I try I cannot understand it." Snoke looked over his apprentice. He seemed to scan him with both his eyes and the force. "Yes... I see what she did to you." "Supreme Leader," Hux interrupted. "I brought you the updates on-" "Silence General. Your matters are not as pressing as these." "But sir," "Know your place." Snoke growled and Hux was knocked off of his feet with the force. "Yes sir." Hux hissed before crawling up off of the ground and leaving Kylo alone with their supreme leader.

"This girl," Snoke began as he glared down at his apprentice, "She is using things she does not understand. Power that is way far beyond her own comprehension." "What did she do to me?" Kylo asked more pressingly. "The girl is an elemental. Elementals are known for having the ability to control the four basic elements, air, water, earth, and fire. But those are just the basic elements, there are more." "More?" Kylo asked as he listened diligently to his master. "At the center of all of these elements is energy. Energy is the most powerful and key element. Only a few elementals could learn to use this power." "But what does this have to do with what she did to me?" Kylo asked. Snoke continued. "Years ago, an energy elemental rose up and developed the ability to block a jedi or sith's connection to the force, permanently. She was stopped, of course, and the practice was forbidden and lost. That is until now." Realization settled in over Kylo and the young man began to become panicked. "She blocked my connection to the force forever?" "What? No." Snoke replied. "She is not powerful enough to do that, not yet. She only blocked it for a few days. But as she grows more powerful she will be capable of severing your connection to the force permanently."
