Heya, don't you just hate toxic friends. No matter how hard you try to block them out of your life their just there. You just have to smile and laugh every time they knock you down inside.

Quote of the day is by Dolly Parton: 𝕀 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕤𝕚𝕟 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕝 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕘𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕀 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕜 𝕚𝕥'𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕒 𝕓𝕒𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕪: 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕧𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕘𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕠𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕠 𝕓𝕖 𝕒 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟. 🌼🍂

"So big girl, what are you planning to do for your birthday tomorrow?" Mom asks as she sets the table. I sigh and play with my glass cup, watching the water slush around.

"Well I was thinking of having dinner at the diner down town and then going to the cinemas to watch a movie. I was thinking IT Chapter two because every one of my friends wants to watch it." I mumbled while taking a sip of my water.

"You hesitated. What's up?" Mom asked. She stopped setting the table and stood on the opposite side of the table to me with her arms crossed across her chest.

"- So?" She queered and I rolled my eyes.

"It's nothing, you wouldn't care anyways." I said, removing eye contact with her.

"What do you mean of course I would car-" She was cut off by the doorbell.

"Uber Eats!" The person called out from outside the door.

"Seriously?" I asked in disgust, looking up at mom. "Uber Eats, again! This is like the eighty fifth time you've ordered it! Everyday of every month, unless we go out for dinner!" I yelled, outraged by how often mom orders food.

"What do you expect me to do Lané! Cook?" She yelled back as if cooking was the least normal thing in the world to do.

"Yes actually." I snapped back at her. She was being unbelievable; usually a mother would cook to care for their child. Sure, she was always busy with work but it's not asking much to cook one meal everyday.

"Don't do this Lané. Stop right there, we don't need to continue this. I can't be like all the other moms alright?" She scolded and shook her head.

"Why mom?! Why can't you be like other moms?!" I yelled at her while throwing my arms in the air. I usually never label her as 'mom' because to her it's disrespectful for me not to call her mamãe.

Mom looked stunned, and had a half angry half shocked looking her face. She raised one of her arms as a sign to tell me stop.

"- You called me Mom. You know that's forbidden in my household." She started and I rolled my eyes.

"Forbidden?! Or do you just not like being addressed as a mom, which lately you haven't been doing very well." I could feel my blood boiling as I spat the words out as if they were venom.
