"There you are." Harry breathed as he saw the bare, pale flesh of Draco's back.

Harry's roommate was currently sitting on a large flab of stone, his shirt tossed to the side. His back was hunched and his hands cradled his face. Harry slowly went to sit beside the blonde and gently set his hand on Draco's shoulder.

Draco removed his hands and looked up, his eyes were red-rimmed and his cheeks were pink. Harry frowned and brought his hand up to cradle the back of the blonde's head.

"Come here" he murmured softly and gently pulled Draco into him.

Draco just let his roommate wrap his arms around him and he closed his eyes as he leaned into Harry's chest and breathed in his now-familiar scent. Harry let his hand run softly through Draco's hair.

Even though Draco's eyes were squeezed shut, water droplets still found their way down his pastel-toned cheeks. Draco placed his fingers flat on Harry's chest, a hand on either side of his face.

He bit his lip in an attempt to conceal a sob, resulting in him shuddering instead. His shoulders shook slightly and Harry tightened his hold on his roommate.

The raven-haired boy just sat there, holding his friend in silence until his tears dissolved.

"You," Harry stopped unsure if the blonde was ready to talk yet, "You left before I woke up, it's still around 6."

Harry rubbed Draco's back, "Bad dream." The blonde muttered.

Harry nodded, "Do you- do you want to talk about it?" He asked, softly.

Draco shook his head.

"You could have woken me up, you know. I would've understood." Harry said.

Draco suddenly pushed Harry off of him, rage swirling in his smoky eyes.

"Shut up, no you don't!" The blonde shouted, his voice strained.

"Y-you don't know actual hurt until you've been in your room, no noises, door locked, crying because you just wish some shit would stop... Silent tears because you don't anybody hearing you, bothering you, or even asking what's wrong because deep down you know they don't care." The blonde stopped and his emotions seemed to soften. He wiped away his trail of tears and whispered, "I know that you don't care."

Harry's frown slightly lifted, "Oh, Draco," Harry murmured, taking Draco's pale hands in his.

"You can rise up from anything, including the demons you have from the war. You can completely recreate yourself. Nothing is permanent. You're not stuck. You have choices. You can think of new thoughts. You can learn something new. You can create new habitats. All that matters is that you decide today and never look back. Take those steps and you'll find me beside you through all of it. The good and the bad. I don't care how long it takes, I'm going to be there for you." Harry said, meaning every single word he spoke.

Draco let out a remorseful sound and closed his eyes.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

The blonde closed his eyes and he felt Harry squeeze his hands. Draco opened his eyes again once he felt Harry's warmth lift away from his fingers.

Harry outstretched his arms, "I'd pull you in, but I'm scared you might push me into the river or something." He said, a smile playing on his face.

Draco shook his head and slowly leaned forward and back into Harry's warm body. When they pulled away Harry couldn't help but notice the dark mark that lay so gruesomely vibrant against Draco's pale skin. Harry's gaze must've lingered for too long because Draco hastily grabbed his shirt and threw it on.
