JJBA One-Shots Because Yes. (And Other Things...)

Josuke x Neko! Reader: Cloud Watching.

You tried to smooth your ears down, you didn't want to make them so noticeable. 'Maybe I should just wear my beanie,' you thought to yourself, walking to your closet. You grabbed your beanie that was on the shelf, and put it on over your head. You looked at yourself in the mirror, satisfied with your work. "Now, my tail," you said aloud, eyeing your tail. Maybe there was a chance you could hide it in your pants... No, that would definitely draw attention. You kept thinking, until you got an idea. You carefully stuck your tail up the back of your shirt, and threw on a hoodie to hide it better. You looked at yourself in the mirror again. 'Alright, (Y/n)! Now you look like a normal human being!' you thought to yourself once again, happy with your finished product. 

You sighed happily as you walked out of your house, ready to go to the grocery store like your mom asked. She wasn't able to since she had caught the flu, so you had to do the errands. You usually had some trouble hiding your ears and tail around people, it just made you feel so covered up. But you had to do it, you didn't want to hear people talk mean about you for being a neko. You couldn't help it, it's just how you were made. You walked to the store, confident that you wouldn't have any trouble this time. You were shopping for your groceries, until- *BANG* Someone had crashed right into you, and you fell to the ground, wincing in pain from the impact.

"Ow, dammit," you muttered, placing a hand over your stomach to stimulate the pain. "Okuyasu you dumbass! Look what you did!" you heard a voice yell, then footsteps coming your way. "Oh no, I didn't mean to! I swear!" another person with a raspy voice exclaimed. "Just go find Koichi," the first person said. You heard a pair of footsteps become more distant, until you could no longer hear them. "I-I'm so sorry about my friend!" the first person said, helping you off of the ground. "T-thanks," you stated, scratching your arm a bit. The guy stuck his hand out for you to shake, which you took. "I'm Josuke H- Ngh?!" The person cut themselves off, and stared in the direction behind you. "What's wrong?" you asked turning around. "You... You have a.. A," Josuke tried to finish his sentence, but couldn't.

You soon realized what he was talking about, and your eyes went wide with worry. You quickly Shiver your tail back into your shirt, and stared at Josuke, fear welling up inside you. He stared at you for a moment, before returning back to normal, and shaking your hand as if nothing happened. "I don't believe you told me your name," he stated. You stayed silent for a moment, and when you snapped back into reality, you became a stuttering mess. "O-Oh! Uh, I'm (Y-Y-Y/n)!" you said nervously. "(Y/n), I like that name," he told you, shaking your hand once again. You accepted the shake this time, even though you were hesitant at first. "Sooo, (Y/n), do you wanna maybe hang out with me and my friends later, or somethin'?" he asked. You could've sworn that you heard a hint of shyness in his voice, but you nodded anyway.

"Great! Uh.. Do you, wanna meet up somewhere?" he asked. "Yeah, yeah! Uh, can we meet up at the park, at like, three-ish?" You wanted for him to reply, and after a moment, he did. "Yeah, we can do that!" he answered, smiling. You smiled back, and he started to leave. "Well then. I'll see you at the park (Y/n)! Bye for now!" he exclaimed, waving to you as he ran off. You turned your attention back to the grocery shopping, smiling the entire time.

"Alright mom! I'm going to the park now!" you exclaimed, throwing on your beanie and hoodie. "Have fun!" you heard her yell to you from her room. You smiled as you left the house, excitedly walking to the park. Soon you reached the entrance of the park, quickly walking into it, and scanning the area for Josuke. You found him waving at you with both of his arms, and for some weird reason, he was by himself. 'That's weird, I though he said his friends were coming too,' you thought to yourself, walking over anyways. "Hey (Y/n)!" he exclaimed when you walked over. "Hey Josuke!" you replied, waving to him a little bit. He sat down on the ground, and you followed after him. "So, what do you wanna do?" you questioned, looking at him. His eyes grew a bit wide all of a sudden, and you got a confused look on your face. 

"I never thought of anything...," he sheepishly replied. "Meh, it's okay, I bet we'll think of something," you reassured him, placing a hand in his shoulder. Josuke started to look around, until something caught his eye. "We could do cloud watching!" he stated, pointing at the sky with a smile. "That's not exactly a bad idea," you mumbled, "Let's do it!" The two of you quickly lay down on the ground, and started to look at all the clouds that were slowly passing by. The two of you would point at different clouds, and say what you thought they looked like, getting the other person to see the same thing. Eventually, the two of you would just point at random clouds, and call them something stupid.

"That one looks like a g-nome!" was one of the things that Josuke said, and the two of you instantly burst out laughing. After the two of you had stopped laughing, everything was silent. You weren't pointing at clouds anymore, or just saying what you thought they looked like. It was as if laughing had taken away all of the energy from both of you. You stared at the sky for a minute before you felt something grasp your hand, and give it a gentle squeeze. You looked over to see that Josuke had put your hand in his, and he was now holding it. A blush spread across your face, and you looked away.

"(Y/n)..," Josuke started. "Yes?" "I saw... Y'know, your tail, when Okuyasu made you fall," he finished, looking at the sky. You started to worry again. "S-sorry.. I probably should've just let you know. I'm sorry if I scared y-" "Why the hell do you think that would've scared me?" he queried, turning his head to face you, you doing the same thing to him. "Josuke, everyone gets scared whenever they see my ears, and my tail." He stared at you for a moment before smiling. 

"Not me. In fact, I think you'd look even prettier without the beanie or the hoodie," he stated, giving your hand a gentle squeeze.

(Aaaaaaaah! Sorry I just, have to say something on this one. First of all, sorry if it took me a long time to update, it was just really hard to think of a plot, I've never written anything with a neko in it, but hey, I tried. Another thing, sorry if the ending sucks, my mind just went blank and I couldn't think of anything else... But, I would actually like to write something else like this! I like to challenge myself to write new things. Anyways, I'm still taking requests! So, if there's anything you would like for me to write, just comment it. Sorry for this long ass A/N btw.
