Chapter 12

Zack's pov

After Anna and I left Avery's room to give Lucas time to talk to Avery I took anna to the coffee stand so I could get a big cup of black coffee. I knew that John was abusing Avery but rape. That's another story and now shes pregnant, shes to young to be a mother hell shes still in school. What are we going to do. We where on our way back when we saw the doctor walking out of Averys room with paper work. Anna rushed to her best friend just to stand in the door with her jaw to the floor
"Anna what's wrong?" I asked resting my hand on her shoulder and peeked into the room and what I saw made me smile 'well it looks like it all worked out, but did she tell him about the baby?' I thought to myself
"Hey you too just saw the doctor is everything okay?" I asked with a smirk
"Yeah man the doctor was just letting is beautiful lady here know she was free to go home." Lucas says while kissing Avery on the forehead
"Um Zack could I speak with you a moment?" Lucas asked looking nervous.
"Of course when havent you been able to talk to me?" I ask sarcastically.
"Oh I dont know how about when you wouldn't tell me that my new girlfriend was pregnant." Lucas says lifing an eyebrow at me, making me laugh
"Hey man that wasnt my information to give you it was hers." I said pointing to Avery, who was blushing at Lucas for calling her his girlfriend 'man sometimes I think shes to innocent for her own good' I thought to myself shaking my head.
I then put my arm around Lucas Lucas sholder as we walked out of the room.
"Okay man I'm freaking out right now, I'm at a lose of what to do, I never expected her to say yes to letting me take her out, or even her being my girlfriend, I dont even know where to take her. All I really know about her is that she loves school, I asked her to kinda run away with me so I can protect her from the asshole brother of hers I want to move her to base where I know he cant get to her when we go back over seas." Lucas say pulling at his hair.
" what did she say to you wanting her to move with her?"
"She didnt, all she wanted to know is that I still wanted her with her being pregnant."
"Oh okay well let's give it a few days and if she doesnt being it up than I will talk to her about it, I think it's a good idea, Veronica and I where just talking last night about moving on base just incase john comes looking for her." I said putting my hand on his shoulder than looked back into the room through the window and what I saw warmed my heart  it was of Avery smiling this girl needs happiness in her life and I know Lucas can give it to her.
