MADISON SOON MADE IT TO alex's house as she tried helping miles into the house. she groaned as she carried his body into the house leaving a trail of blood on the wooden floor. "what is he doing in my house?!" alex exclaimed as he saw madison putting him on the couch. "he knows something we don't. he can help us kill whatever that shadow was." madison as she grabbed supplies to clean his wound. "are you crazy?!" alex exclaimed. "what if he's trying to get rid of us?" alex whispered. "if he did. id know." madison said as she rushed over to him causing alex to roll his eyes. "im serious." alex sighed in frustration. "he won't hurt you. not now." madison said softly. "im not worried about me." alex spat. "im worried about her." alex said referring to haley.
"he won't get anywhere near you or haley. but for now, i need you to get me a wash cloth and a bowl." madison said and alex sighed rolling his eyes before nodding his head heading into the kitchen. madison gently rolled up miles' jeans seeing his badly wounded knee. she winced as she still saw the blood dripping. "jesus." madison muttered underneath her breath.
she felt miles' body shifting around groaning in pain. "w-where am I?!" miles exclaimed. "hey, hey.. it's okay.." madison said softly reassuring him. "you're okay. we need to get you cleaned up." madison said as she grabbed a cloth putting pressure on his injured knee. "ah!" miles winced. "i need you to put pressure on this." madison instructed and miles nodded his head groaning as he did so. she quickly turned around grabbing more cloths and bandages as miles pulled the knife out of his knee. "aH!UGH!" miles screamed in pain as he threw the bloody knife on the table.
"shit!" madison exclaimed as she placed the cloths on his knee as he stained the cloth with his blood. "jesus, why did you do that?!" madison exclaimed. "t-the monster." miles muttered. "w-what about it?" madison asked worriedly. "it'll kill you. get away from here." miles spat. "w-what about you?" madison asked. "he won't let me leave." miles said as he held her hand. "a-and take flora with you." miles whimpered. "i-im not leaving without you." madison said. "i-i can't let you do that." miles said. "and I can't leave you here to die." madison whimpered. "it's okay." miles muttered. "no. im not letting you die." madison said. "im killing that thing myself." madison spat.
"that's the thing. you can't." miles muttered. "ill figure it out." madison said. "but i need your help." madison said softly causing him to sigh. "miles...i need you to trust me." madison whispered as she held his hand not removing eye contact from him. "promise me." miles started. "promise me, i won't lose you." miles muttered. "i-i ca- i promise." madison said giving him a sad smile.
"what is he doing here?" haley spat as she came down the stairs. "he's gonna help us." madison said as she stood up. "he shouldn't be here." haley said in fear. "i-im sorry. i-its not my fault. and you know it." miles said calmly. "we both saw him." miles said sternly. "we both know what he could do to us." miles said. "haley, what is he talking about?" madison asked. "he wants us to bring you to him, so he can kill you." haley said in fear. "he doesn't want us. he wants you." miles added. "he knows you can stop him. that's why he's after you." haley said. "i can do it. i'll fight." madison said without hesitation. "we don't know if your powers are going to be enough to protect you." miles said.
"i can do it. im strong-!" madison exclaimed. "LISTEN to me. it will tear you limb from limb. and if it gets attached to you, we're all dead." miles spat. "i CAN do this. i need you to trust me.." madison whispered. "i can't do this without you." madison begged. "we can't risk anything." miles said. "it's better than doing nothing at all." madison said causing miles to take a deep sigh before speaking. "so, what's the plan?" miles asked.

after a couple hours passed by, alex helped miles get cleaned up alongside haley as madison paced around the living room trying to come up with a plan. or at least something to kill that thing. "madison, has the power to kill this monster thingy. but what will happen if it kills her?" alex asked. "well, the thing is the monster is after her. and only her." miles started. "we have to make an easier way for madison to kill the monster right then and there." haley added. "exactly. if madison kills it, everything goes back to normal." miles said.
"but if the plan doesn't work, the monster will take over her and kill her. and then kill all of us." miles added. "what do you mean by take over her?" alex asked. "the monster. i-it messes with your mind. makes you do things that you don't wanna do." miles explained. "we have to take it to a place it doesn't know." haley said. "here." madison suggested and they all turned to alex. "woah, woah woah. no fucking way." alex spat. "we bring it here trap it, madison kills it everything goes back to normal." miles said.
"you're a fucking maniac!" alex exclaimed. "this is the only way." madison said. alex sighed before speaking. "you're lucky my parents are out of this town." alex said causing haley and madison to smile. "what are it's weaknesses?" haley asked. "fire. it hates fire." miles answered. "so, we trap it in here and burn the shit out of it?" haley said. "yep. then madison will use her powers and kill it for good." miles said. "this better work." alex said annoyingly. "you guys stay here. me and alex will get the supplies." haley said before exiting the house leaving the two alone.
"does it still hurt?" madison asked softly. "hmm?" miles said in response. "your leg. does it still hurt?" madison asked. "not that much." miles replied. "what about you?" miles asked. "what about me?" madison said. "does it hurt when you use your powers?" miles asked. "sometimes. if i use it too much i can be hurt pretty badly." madison said.
"promise me you'll be careful." miles said. "i will." madison said giving him a small reassuring smile and he did the same. "i'm sorry if i scared you earlier. you know i didn't mean to hurt you. right?" miles said. "yeah. i know." madison said. "it wasn't your fault. and i forgive you." madison said as she looked into his eyes. "h-how's your throat?" miles asked worriedly. "okay. it only hurts when i talk." madison said quietly. "d-do you want me to get you some water? i-i can get it for you right no-" miles said as he tried standing up. "no, no. it's okay." madison said. "i don't wanna cause you any trouble. plus your leg, is pretty bad..." madison said.
the two couldn't help but smile at each other enjoying their small moment. madison was happy she got to see the side of miles no one else ever saw. the same goes for miles as he was happy to see that madison wasn't afraid of him. the only thing left to do was to kill it.
