"AND NOBODY WANTS TO know you now. boom boom!" alex sang as he sat beside madison. "nobody wants to show you how! so if you're lost and on your own!" alex exclaimed. "you can never surrender!" alex screamed causing the two to look at him weirdly. "what?" alex stopped. "you don't like it?" alex frowned. "i mean...it's great and all..." madison said softly trying not to offend him. "80's music isn't putting us into the right mood right now." will said putting into the nicest way possible.

"alright, i knew you guys were gonna say something like that." alex sighed pulling out a mixtape out of his pocket. "i made this more to your liking. maybe this'll help." alex said replacing the mixtape with the one in his hand. "how's this?" alex asked as "scrawny by the wallows" began to play. "much better." madison smiled as she nodded her head to the beat.

"i'll wait here." haley said as she flopped onto the couch. miles made it to her room seeing alex dancing as madison and will sat beside each other. "alex. i need to talk to you." miles whispered. "about what?" alex asked. "it's uh-just come downstairs!" miles exclaimed grabbing his wrist pulling him out the room bringing him down leaving madison and will in confusion.

"I'll be right back, stay here." madison said as she got up quietly following them out. "OW!" alex exclaimed smacking his hand of his. "what?!" alex spat. "we need to talk to you about something." haley said. "what now?" alex sighed. "we found this." haley said showing him the drawing. "w-where'd you get that?" alex asked worriedly. "we got it from madison's room." miles answered. "we think she may be having visions of it again." haley added.

"w-why didn't she tell us?" alex asked. "i don't know.. maybe she didn't want us to worry?" haley suggested. madison frowned soon speaking up. "well, what should we do?" miles asked. "can you guys stop hiding everything from me?!" madison exclaimed causing miles to gasp. "why did you lie?" madison frowned towards miles. "i am not a little girl anymore. i don't need your protection!" madison spat.

"it's my job to protect you. not the other way around." madison said as a tear slipped out of her eye. "i can't lose you again!" miles exclaimed. "not a second goes by when i think about the lab taking you away!" miles cried. "we don't want to lose you." miles cried. "I LOVE YOU! AND I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN!" miles exclaimed leaving everyone in shock. "y-you won't lose me." madison said as she cupped his face. "how can you promise that? after what happened last time." miles frowned.

"i'm here now. and i'm not going anywhere." madison said softly. "j-just don't lie to me anymore. no more secrets." madison huffed. "y-yeah, i-i promise." miles nodded. soon long arms crashed through the windows of her home grabbing onto madison causing her to scream in pain. "MILES!" madison screamed causing miles to immediately grab onto her arms. "THIS DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE I THOUGHT FLORA WAS FLAYED!" haley shouted. "I DON'T KNOW!! MAYBE ITS FOUND A WAY TO SPREAD?!" miles exclaimed.

madison began screaming even more as it pulled her more up causing alex and haley to hold on also. will quickly saw the scene downstairs grabbing the bat with nails swinging at the monster grabbing onto madison. "HURRY!" haley screamed. will took another swing at it causing madison to collapse to the floor as a part of it was still attached to her body.

miles quickly grabbed the bat from will's hand getting the left over flayed off of her. he dropped the bat instantly hugging her tightly. "madison! madison! a-are you okay?" miles asked her worriedly. "y-yes. m-move p-please." madison huffed, miles moved away from her as she used her powers to throw the monster away from the house far far away before she collapsed to the floor knocking out.

"she's not some fucking machine! this is the second time she's almost died! WHAT IS WRONG YOU?!" miles screamed. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" miles screamed at alex and haley. "is anyone going to explain what is going on?! and what was that thing?!" will exclaimed. "shut up!" the three exclaimed. "mads! I'm home! I got you strawberry vanilla! your favorite!" steve shouted as he came into the house seeing the group as madison was knocked out on the
couch with blood dripping from her nose.

"w-what the hell happened to her?!!" steve exclaimed as he rushed towards madison. "SHUT UP STEVE!" miles exclaimed as he was still arguing with alex and haley. "DON'T YOU TELL ME TO SHUT UP YOU LIL SHIT! WHAT. HAPPENED. TO. MY. SISTER." steve exclaimed.

"she used her powers trying to protect us." haley said softly. "protect? protect you from what? the bad men?" steve asked. "no. the shadow monster." alex said. "she didn't tell me about no crappy monster." steve spat. "well, that fucking crappy monster is in my sisters head!" miles exclaimed. "it's trying to kill madison by trying to get to me." miles frowned. after explaining the full actual story to both steve and will they finally understood.

"so, this thing is after madison?" will asked. "yeah." alex huffed. "and if it kills her, it kills us and everything." haley added. sydney busted through the door holding papers in her hand before stopping herself from saying anything seeing the scene in front of her. "w-what happened?" sydney asked worriedly.

"it's a longggg story. just sit down before miles starts screaming again." alex said scooting over on the couch for her to sit. "what did you find?" haley asked. "okay, i did some research. thanks to stanley for this shit." sydney huffed showing pictures of an unknown location. "this is Hawkins Lab. this place shut down in 1978, and more rumors have been building up since." sydney said. "what does this have to do with anything?" miles spat. "this is where the bad men are hiding. they found a portal that helped the flayer come back!" sydney exclaimed.

"h-how do you know that they did it?" steve asked. "because, i was there." sydney sighed.
