"WAIT, SO YOU LIED TO ME?" steve exclaimed. "that's not important right now!" madison exclaimed. "uh, go on syd." alex said. "so, we're going to break in." sydney started. "how do you suppose we do that?" miles asked. "we pretend to be a technology company, or plumbing company and once we're in we knock the guards out." sydney said. "syd, have you ever heard of something called GUNS?" alex argued. "dude, we have madison and steve. whatever he's good at doing." will added.
"hey! i can take them down." steve spat. "keep telling yourself that buddy." alex said patting steve on the back. "we need a van." miles said. "oh, i know a guy." steve said. "technically she, uh but she'll let me borrow it." steve said. "okay well where is she at?" miles asked. "Starcourt." steve said. "okay, then let's go." haley said, as they all rushed out.
they all made it to Starcourt rushing through the crowd. "woah.." madison said in shock, looking at all the stores. "you never been to mall before?" will asked. "i never been out at all." madison replied. as soon as they made it to Scoops Ahoy, steve immediately ringed the bell. "what are you doing here dingus?" robin sighed. "i need to borrow your van." steve huffed.
"what are you up to now dingus?" robin spat. "and i see you brought your little children with you." robin said, seeing the kids behind him. "give us your keys before i hit you with my bat." miles spat causing steve to hold him back. "is he threatening me?" robin scoffed. "he's joking. he's a lil wonky in the head." steve chuckled. "bring it back before i get you fired." robin said handing him the keys. "oh shit, thanks so much." steve sighed in relief. "I'll do all of your shifts for the rest of the summer." steve said.
"alright let's go." sydney causing all of them to rush out. "okay, wha-what's the plan again?" steve asked. "we head to Hawkins lab and destroy whatever they're trying to bring back." will explained. "and we'll kick their sorry asses." steve said proudly. "you mean, maddie will." haley spat. "yeah, h-her too." steve said. "uhh, guys??" will said seeing two men following behind them. "GUYS!" will exclaimed, causing them all to turn. "scary agent guys." will panicked walking faster. "go! go! go!" steve exclaimed as the they ran.
the two men in black began to push pass the group of people trying to catch up with steve and the others. "madison, come on let's go!" miles said as he was beside her. madison looked back still seeing the men following them. "get in the car!" steve exclaimed. "i'll drive!" haley shouted. "what? are you crazy? aren't you like 14?" steve said.
"i'm 16 dick face. practically 17." haley spat snatching the keys out of his hands as she made her way to the drivers seat. everyone in the car began to panic, worried of what might happen. "i can't die yet! my mom needs me!" will exclaimed. "we're gonna die. we're gonna die.." steve panicked. "shut up! shut up! i need to focus!" haley screamed.
"haley drive!" miles exclaimed seeing the men get into a car, getting ready to chase after them. haley stepped on the pedal speeding their way out of the parking lot. "holy shit..holy shit." steve muttered to himself. alex quickly slapped his arm, telling him to calm down. "get a grip man. we're not gonna die." alex spat. "they're on our trail!" will exclaimed. "not for long." haley said, going above the speed limit, taking illegal short cuts doing her best to cut them off. no matter how hard haley tried, they were still on their trail.
"turn the car around!" madison exclaimed. "what? why?!" haley said. "just do it!" madison demanded. haley did so, turning the car around facing the men behind them. "now drive." madison said. "are you fucking crazy?!" sydney exclaimed. "she said drive!" miles shouted.
haley stepped on the pedal, going faster and faster towards the car leaving the men in confusion. "SHIT SHIT SHIT!" steve screamed, alex quickly moved his hand towards Steve's eyes being completely calm. madison closed her eyes as she began to focus. the car flipped over the van, practically flying off into the street. "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" alex exclaimed. madison wiped her nose as the group began to look back, seeing the car completely destroyed.
"bitchin'." will smiled. "what did i get myself into." steve sighed.

as the group made it to Hawkins lab, haley drove up to the gate rolling down her window. "hi, we're here for Dr. Wolfhard." haley said. "sorry, we don't have anyone under that name i'm gonna have to ask you to-" "AHHHH!" steve screamed, jumping out of the van tackling the security guard to the ground knocking him out.
"wow! you did it! not that impressive though." alex shrugged. steve rolled his eyes, grabbing the mans key card, and badge before hopping back into the car. "woah, what the hell are you doing? grab the gun!" alex spat. "we're not killing anybody, alright?" steve said back.
"madison can't be the only one doing all the work." will said. steve rolled his eyes, getting out of the van grabbing the gun. "happy?" steve spat. haley parked the van in the parking lot as they all came out slowly sneaking through the building.
"clear." steve whispered as they all crouched down following behind him. the flickering lights had catch there attention as they all stood up. the flashing lights caught will's attention causing him to stop seeing his mom standing beside a man. "mom?" will said in shock. "dude, get down!" alex said, grabbing his arm.
"m-my mom! my moms here!" will exclaimed in a whisper. "why would your mom be here?" alex asked. "i-i don't know." will said. "look, we just need to find the flayer then we're out." miles whispered. "split up, we have a better chance at finding it." sydney said. "what? are you crazy? a crazy monsters on the loose and you want us to split up?" alex said.
"look, the monster might not even be here. and if it is, we'll get rid of it. for good." haley said softly. "that's a pretty big if." steve huffed. "we'll see you guys later." miles said as he and madison went a different direction through the halls. "c'mon guys." steve said urging alex and will to follow him.
"someone's coming!" alex exclaimed. steve quickly opened a door shoving them in there. "stay down." steve said. will didn't listen as he opened the door seeing his mom. "mom!" will exclaimed. "will? w-wha what are you doing here?!" joyce exclaimed hugging him tightly. "it's a long story, why are you here?" will asked.
her eyes began to tear up. "w-what? what's wrong?" will asked. "will!" alex exclaimed in a whisper before steve covered his mouth. "shh.." steve hushed. "honey...they're gonna bring jonathan back.."
