24. Georgia

"I can't believe you asked me to marry you." I said still on cloud nine. We were now in the basement laying down. This was surreal.

"I know that I said that I would wait and that we had years to get married but I don't want to wait. We dont have to get married right away but I love the fact that I'm your fiance now."

"Me to." I agreed. I lay my head on her lap "We're going to be happy for the rest of our lives huh?"

"As long as I have you I'll be the happiest person in the world."

"What will we do if we get accepted to different colleges?" I asked.

"Well make it work."

"You sound so confident."

"I am. Our love is strong nothing or no one can brake it."I close my eyes at the feel of her stroking my hair. Nothing could be any more perfect then this.

"Oh I have something for you." I said as I stood and went to her closest.

"You got me something?" She asked surprised.

"Yeah I got it when we went out that day but with everything that's happened I kind of forgot about it until now. After pulling out the white bag I handed it to her. I watched as she bit down hard on her bottom lip at the sight of the toy.

"A jack in the box." I watched as she placed the toy on her lap and twisted the nob until the clown popped out but only it wasnt a clown. It was a tiny frame with a picture of her family. "How did you get this picture?"

"My mom. She had got all your paperwork to be sure of them being your guardian and this picture of your family happened to be in the files. The case worker has no idea how it ended up there. So I took it and made it into the jack in the box for you. In remembrance of them." Tears were spillage out her eyes. I went to her and wiped them away.

"This is the best present in the world."

"I'm glad you like it."

"I love it. My brother loved his jack in the box toy. He took it everywhere with him. But the day they died my mom made him leave it. I promised him that I would look after it for him until he got back. I've been so attached to it since then thinking that if I continued to look after it for him that one day he would come back for it. Stupid huh?"

"No it's not. I cant imagine what you've been threw. You held onto what you had and im glad that this may help you if only for a little."

"You are my family now George. We can build a family together."

"You bet we will my love."

"If we have a boy I want to name him Omar."

"That was your brothers name?" She nodded her head. "We can name him whatever you like. And we won't stop until we get a boy." She laughed.

"Okay."

"We're. In. Paris!" Georgia said happily as she twirled in circles. I looked at Daisy who was just as happy. George absolutely refused to come without Daisy so she made her into her therapy dog to be able to put her on the plane. It was genius if you asked me. My two girls. I didnt want it any other way. This week was going to be something to remember. Everyday I fell more and more in love with this woman. I did not think it possible. She was amazing.

"Why are you staring so hard?" She asked her hands now on her hips.

"It just feels good to see you so happy." To keep from going over to her and pulling her into my arms I knelt down and picked an excited Daisy up. "You're excited to huh?" I said to her kissing her small head. She was almost a year old and still so small. Mrs. Garrison fell in love with Daisy so much that she had got her a puppy also. She was so in love with it.

"I'm mainly happy because you're with me Love." She said coming over to me and kissing me. I still couldn't believe we were together. I was the happiest person in the world.

"What do you want to do first?" She asked.

"Let's get the hotel room first then I found this beautiful restaurant on the internet not far from the hotel. We can have dinner there if your like."

"Yes. Let's go." She said excitingly. After we settled in we showered and dressed making our way to the restaurant. I was surprised that she was the one that was so shy. It was like our first date all over again. After we ate we went for a walk near a beach. She looked so beautiful in the grey dress she was wearing. I couldn't wait to propose to her properly. I was so nervous and excited at the same time. I wanted it to go right.

The sun setting glowed so beautifully off her. We've been threw so much since getting together and I was ready to fight the world if they had a problem with my baby. Taking her hand I stopped her and stand in front of her.

"Its so beautiful here isn't it?"

"Yes very beautiful." I said. If only she knew that I was talking about her. Since getting to the restaurant I could do nothing but think about this proposal. Damn I was sprung and I was loving it. If I wasnt so worried about her mother killing me for eloping I would have done it by now. But we both knew that her parents would want a grand wedding. I didnt care. It was whatever to me but anything to make this woman in front of me happy. Taking a deep breath I continue.

"I love you so much." She smiled brightly at me.

"Why are you nervous?" Leave it to my baby to point out the obvious.

"Because what I'm about to do is making me nervous." She was confused. I lowered on one knee and she gasped. "I know I've done this before but I knew that I would do it again and what more perfect time than this." I was so damn nervous. Although I knew that she would say yes it didnt stop the jitters in my stomach. "You are my world. My life and I dont want to spend a day without you. Will you marry me?" Tears slid down her cheeks as she nodded her head.

"Yes baby I'll marry you." I slid the diamond ring on her finger and she threw her arms around my neck. I worked none stop to be able to afford that ring. It felt good to be able to give it to her. "My protector."

"And I would protect your heart with my life."

Okay that's the end of this story. Most of my stories are dreams or a story I'll make up after seeing something happen in real life. I'll make a whole story with just one event I seen in real life.
