After I gathered my stuff, I headed to my cabin. I stepped in, the cabin was made of wood planks and drywall. I hoped the place had insulation, and lots of bug spray, I was going to need it.

"How long do you think it's going to be before our counselor gets here?" I heard a girl ask from the back of the cabin. "I don't know Luna." said another girl.

"Dawn. I think someone's here." the other girl, sticking her head out from behind the bunks. Her hair was dark brown with black streaks, her clothes all black. Another girl stuck her head out. Her her hair was dirty blond with pink streaks in her hair. Her clothes all pink, blue, and gold.

"Do I have to guess your names or something?" I asked still examining the two girls. "Not that I'm aware of. I'm Luna." said the darker, more emo girl. "And I'm Dawn. We're twins." said the other girl. "But your the exact opposite." I said. I turned around and saw three other girls walk into the cabin. "Hi girls. I'm your counselor, Marie." said the oldest girl, "And this is your home."

"So, Marie. How old are you?" Dawn asked. "I'm a sophomore in college." Marie responded "Speaking of age, how old are you guys and what's your name?" We all sat down, including the two other girls I'd yet to meet.

"I'm Lacy. And I'm a freshman in high school." said one of the girls introducing herself. "I'm Katie. I'm a junior in high school, and this is my third time at camp." the other girl said, her sparkly horse shirt reflecting on the walls.

We all went around in a circle ending with me. But little did I know, that I had just met my BFFs, my girl squad, my team. Who would help me no matter what.

Just when we'd finished exchanging names and ages, the camp director called us all to the auditorium for a camp greeting.

I ran out of my cabin with Marie and the rest of my cabin mates behind me. Once I arrived at the auditorium, I took a seat, on the very end of the third row. When I turned to my left to see who I was sitting next to, it was Hunter. The one person, besides Parker who I didn't want to deal with this summer.

"Oh hey Phoenix." Hunter said to me. "Hey Hunter. I haven't seen you since I made a complete fool of myself this morning." I said jokingly. He gave me that look boys always do when they don't know what to say.

"Out of words?" I asked. "No, just kind of bored." he said a little surprised. So, I just sat there, next to the one boy I didn't want to have drama with this summer. The one person that I hoped wouldn't make it awkward for me if it we did.

"Quiet everyone!" a man yelled on stage. Slowly, the rest of the campers voices died down, to where you could hear the microphone squealing. I felt my body pulsing, as the squeals filling my ears. "You okay?" I heard Hunter whisper in my left ear. I nodded.

I had no idea why Hunter cared so much about my well being, especially since we'd only just met this morning. "Good afternoon everyone. I'm Director Brooks, your camp director for this summer." Director Brookes sighed "And I would enjoy it if Parker Lee & Mason Brown would quit talking."

At the mention of Parker, I immediately turned around. There was Parker, sitting right behind me laughing his head off with one of his friends. "Shut it Parker." I told him. "Why Smith? I mean your only a little idiotic princess." Parker laughed.

"Parker just shut up, Phoenix doesn't want to deal with you and your stupid friends." Hunter said defending me. "Thanks." I mouthed to Hunter. I turned away from Parker, towards Director Brookes. But when I did, I felt a little a little strain in my chest. My breathing stopped, and I fell to the ground.

"Is she okay?" I heard someone ask.

"She'll be fine Mr. Payne. She just needs some rest." another voice said.

I jolted up, my whole body tingling. "Where on earth am I?" I yelled. "It's fine Ms. Smith. You're in the infirmary." said an older looking man standing next to Jade. All my cabin mates were gathered around my bed. Even Hunter was there, standing to my right.

"What happened?" I said shakily. "You just passed out. When you didn't wake up I immediately told one of the counselors who carried you here." Hunter told me. "Oh... Thanks Hunter." I stuttered.

Hunter had helped here because he cared, not just because I was helpless.

"Okay everyone, head to the dining hall for dinner." the older man began "Except for you Mr. Payne. You can stay." Everyone filed out the infirmary, except Hunter who sat down beside me.
