"What are you doing?" Kelsea exclaimed as she played tug of war with their office admin over her bag.
"You are leaving the office on time today, Missy?! That's a new rule unless our boss requires you to. Well you don't, right Jordan?" Janet scoff in a commanding voice.
"Of course not. Don't use your scary voice over me, Janet. Never again or.. you could easily replace me." Jordan teased back amused with the two.
"Janet, I have something to do... I got to help Paul." Kelsea exclaimed in between laughs as she finds her colleague's gesture hilarious.
"Who the heck is Paul? Are you coming up with random names now? Do we need to install showers in our restrooms for you and expand the office pantry that you can be the new border here?" Janet hissed back at her.
"Uhm, that will be me..." Paul, a new intern from their marketing department went in, carrying a box full of banners and decorations.
"Unbelievable. So you can't do your job and your asking our Kelsea here to help you out? If she end up single her whole life, that's your fault, unless, hmm.. are you single?" Janet inquired then started to gazed back at him from head to toe, inspecting from how he looks to what he is wearing that day.
"Seriously Janet?!" Kelsea's jaw dropped followed by a soft chuckle.
"Uhm well, I am technically single, my ex boyfriend and I just broke up." Paul admitted, looking rather shy blurting his private life to his new colleagues.
Jordan almost couldn't help himself from laughing but tried to be a sensible boss in this situation.
"Alright, calm down everyone especially you, Janet. If Kelsea wanted to help Paul, let her be. She won't stay single for too long, no worries. She can handle herself well." Jordan added calmly.
"Janet, there's a big sale at the mall now. You promised me we will go." Another work colleague came in.
"Fine. But just today and only today. Kelsea, mark my words. You can't stay single and be a workaholic at the same time." Janet exclaimed and left hurriedly.
Jordan and Kelsea burst into laughter, Paul just gave a smile. Then Kelsea followed Paul as they head to the events area to set up what's needed for tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, Kelsea found out that some of Paul's event suppliers will be delayed to provide what he needed for his first event tomorrow. She can relate so well how rough the first few weeks of being an intern is. So she volunteered to help.
The marketing manager, Paul's boss teased, with her around, everyone will be more willing to lend a helping hand especially the engineering team who worships her. She just laughed at that comment. But deep inside she hopes more would help that she don't stay in the office too late.
Friday nights for her are reserved for some binge watching and a bowl of popcorn.

Briggs on the other hand, arrived a few minutes early with a late meeting with the Robin Group headed by Jordan. There were recent design changes that needed to be discussed and having a 7:00 p.m. meeting isn't unusual though he feels a bit hungry and tired. Jordan met with him together with their respective colleagues in one of the meeting rooms. Kelsea was nowhere with him and he purposely came early to get a chance to talk to her or at least see her. Guess, she went home on time and not joining us in this meeting.
At the events area, Kelsea was busy helping Paul put up a few things like banners and decors, together with the a few volunteers from the engineering department.
