Somewhere between Sunset

Three ~ 24 Hours

Dammit, Kelsea, what the hell are you thinking? Why did you agreed to all of this? As she tried to straighten her blue and while floral top that she paired with skinny denim jeans and white sneakers.

It was a warm and sunny Saturday morning as she agreed to meet him for brunch. There's no way she would allow a stranger like him to pick her up at her home. Instead, she suggested that they'll meet at a picnic area inside one of the state parks where she knew there's the usual weekend crowd. On a beautiful summer day, this state park has its regular amount of visitors comprise of mostly families and group of friends on a picnic or just enjoying the outdoors.

Briggs arrived few minutes earlier than her and found a parking spot closer to the entrance of the state park. He asked her earlier where within the park they'll meet and she just replied vaguely, "parking lot around 11 a.m." As if the parking lot isn't big enough and spread out. So he came up with another plan, he will wait for her in his pick up truck closer to the visitor's entrance gate which is the only entrance, just to see her as soon as she arrives.

This is dumb. Most girls I've dated won't play this game with me. Now I have to watched every car going through the entrance gate like a hawk." He complained to himself as he was about to grab a cigarette from his pocket but decided now is not a good time for that. Few minutes shortly, a gray sedan car with a young woman drove in that looks like her. As she stopped by the gate to pay the entrance ticket to the park, he hurriedly started his car to follow closely to where she would end up parking.

She waited inside her car even if she couldn't resist the view outside. She doesn't want to wait out in the open as she doesn't feel sure of why she agreed to do this in the first place. She have never went on a blind date let alone a stranger like him. She always make sure she knows the man she is about to meet first or at least someone she knew and trusted knew them before she agrees to go out with them. This time she did something risky and unusual for her. It felt to her like having a date with danger.

This could have been perfect if not for the fact that I agreed to meet a stranger. She thought to herself as she rolled down the window and breath in the fresh air. He earlier got hold of her by getting her personal information through her application documents at the SCI HR Department, the company he also works for. She couldn't believe how unprofessional of such a big construction company is to allow that to happened or maybe one of the HR staff is just having a lazy day. She will soon find out how easy it was for a man like him to get what he wants in his way, all the time.

She got lost in her thoughts when a sensual scent of man caught her and his voice sent chills down her spine. "Kelsea..."

He stood just outside her car. It wasn't too hard for him to guessed that someone like her won't just wait outside of her car for him that she barely knew. He knew her guard would be up but he is not prepared for what's in store for him once they finally meet.

She look at him and slowly went out of her car. The soft wind blow her long, wavy, auburn hair and she look so natural as if she's barely wearing any makeup. But her soft dewy skin, her twinkling blue eyes and those lips are more than enough to get his attention and fill his heart with desire. She is a beautiful sight, just like when he first saw her walk towards him at the SCI office few days ago, and he can't help wanting more of her.

She stared hard at him even if she doesn't want to, she can't stop herself. She have met and dated a few guys in the past, some are good looking as well but no one can get close to him.

Is this for real? He looks like he could be a movie actor, actually he might be. Wait! he looks familiar, like that upcoming young actor, what's his name, ah, Cole who was being linked to drugs and wild parties. Oh my goodness, is he Cole. She blushed hard and could hardly speak a word when he caught immediately what she wanted to say.
