I clenched my heart and layed down on my bed and put my other freehand on my forehead. A slight smile creeped up on my face, that really just happened. Amazing.

3rd person pov
Shinsou stayed like that for a few minutes until he remebered about pops. His heart had finally calmed down, if you can even call it calm since he was still feeling giddy from earlier. But now he was rushing downstairs to eat dinner even if pops wasn't eating with him. As long as he spent time with him, while he was watching tv or grading papers, he'd be happy that they were at least together.

" Hey pops? I just finished my homework." Shinsou said turning the corner and entering the kitchen. He saw him at the dinner table with papers sprawled out around him and a cup of tea right next to him.

Pops smiled, " Hey Hitoshi, dinners over there." He pointed next to the stove. He grabbed the bag and brought it to the table to join his dad.

" So what papers are you grading?" Shinsou asked opening the container of ramen.

Pops looked up, " My students had to write a sonnet, well a rough draft of one atleast. Some of them of rocking it... some of them," he paused and thought carefully about his next choice of words, " some of them need work... or a lot of work." He straighted the papers he was working on out and looked really concerned by some of them in a separate pile next to him.

Shinsou smiled as he took a bite of his ramen, even though it wasn't as fresh as he liked it to be, it still tasted amazing, " When they write their final draft can I read some?" Shinsou said, " If I'm allowed to that is."

Pop smiled, " Of course I'll let you read them, I'll just cover the name, cause like I said some of them are... well to put it simply, they're amazing!"

Shinsou nodded he loved seeing his dad get so passionate about his students work, " Well they are you're students so I hope they're good," Shinsou and his dad smiled, " They're learning from the best, really."

Pops clicked his pen, " That's really kind of you Hitoshi, so hows your food."

Shinsou smiled, his food was amazing, that ramen place was always so busy but it was always worth it. " Okay picture the most amazing book you've ever read, this ramen is that book but ten times better."

Pops chuckled, " So it's ten times better then A tale of two cities? That's pretty hard to beat Hitoshi but I'll take your word for it."
