Gregor POV

We looked at the Waterway.

The wind had become the orchestral conductor of the sea, sending waves into their crescendos' all through the ballad that was the night. All about us was the perfume of the salty water and the fine spray that came as boldly as any viola flurry. It was as if life herself had entered the water and the energy was so great that this great pulse came upward to form a steady rhythm.

"So, what do we do first?"

"We find him and kill him."  We looked out at the sea and waited.

After standing there for what seemed like forever, Percy walked over to the edge of the cliff and took a deep breath.

"Poseidon, send your creature to come and kill me.  We all know it's what you want."   He walked back over to me and turned around and looked back at the sea.  Almost immediately there was a roar.  Far out I could just make out the creature.  He was moving so fast it made the Flash look like he was moving in slow motion.  Percy took out his pen and uncapped Riptide.

"Get ready Gregor.  This may be the first and last time we fight together."  We walked down the hill towards the beach.  When we stood on the beach we looked at the incoming threat.

"Nice knowing you Perce."

"You as well Gregor."  We readied our swords and charged.  As we ran into the sea the water receded in front of us leaving us a straight path toward the creature.  Percy used the water to boost him up into the sky and he landed on Blackjack, Percy's loyal pegasus.  He flew at the creature with such determination.  I charged from the ground.  I felt my rager side come in and I fought.

I don't remember much of what happened next, but what I do know is that we almost died.              I'm not good at the fight scenes.

When my rager feeling was gone I looked around to see where I was at.  I was on land again, but I couldn't find Percy.  I stood up and looked around.  I looked at the edge of the cliff where Percy stood looking up at the sky.  It was a weird whitish grayish.  I gasped, it was like the prophecy said.  I felt the ground shake and an angry voice shout

"PERSEUS JACKSON, YOU ARE TO BE EXECUTED FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAINST THE GODS.  YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR KILLING OF THIS ANCIENT BEAST."  Percy just laughed.

"I may die, but I won't without a fight."  He raised Riptide and yelled

"FROM NOW ON I AM AGAINST THE GODS!  I WILL FIGHT AGAINST YOU FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE.  SO COME AND FIGHT ME POSEIDON."  I heard an angry yell as an earthquake that shook the world hit.  An accident will happen and someone will die.

I started running up the hill as fast as I could.

'You cannot stop me!' Poseidon yelled.

In answer, Percy blasted a blast of blue fire at him. Poseidon flew backward off the cliff.  Poseidon mist traveled back to the top and charged

Percy once again backed Poseidon to the edge of the cliff, the whole sea out below. The blue fire had melted Poseidons' trident. Molten Celestial bronze dripped off of Poseidon's hand. His skin steamed and blistered.

Poseidon snarled and raised his hands and formed a trident.

"You will die Percy. We will fight and you will die."

"I will die but my mark will be left on the world.  And when the next war comes that you will not have the hero of Olympus there to save you."

I was looking up at Percy in surprise and terror.  What was he going to do next? I watched as Percy charged Poseidon.

Poseidon lashed out wildly with his trident, but Percy cut it in half with Riptide. He charged in, jabbing his sword through the god's breastplate, then summoned the fire and blasted Poseidon off the edge of the cliff.

As the god fell, screaming, Percy pointed his sword. An arc of pure blue fire vaporized Poseidon in midair. His ashes drifted down in a gentle cloud, dusting the tops of the olive trees on the slopes of the sea.

Percy turned to Gregor. His sword and capped it. His eyes full of anger. Gregor found it strange that Percy looked so angry.

Then we felt a large shake.  The ground started rumbling.
