LATOYA'S POV-

The house arrest collar was immediately attached to my ankle while cooperating.

I waited for the agents from the HPSC to completely leave my house and be gone already. Until 7 am, the ankle bracelet won't be removable. At least that's what they said. My house arrest is only temporary and they'll be watching my every move. They had cameras placed in every room of the house, except my bathroom and bedroom of course. And it turns out that I'll be out of the bracelet until the UA Sports Festival starts. And no driver too, so I can go on my own after that.

That's like 2 weeks. Okay. I can wait. Until then I'm a caged bird in my own house. I haven't seen my old home in years. I thought I'd see some dust or something, but surprisingly the Hero HQ had it cleaned and hazard-proofed too - in case I...hurt myself.

I switched on the lamps in the living room only; still keeping it dark and dim for Darcy to move around.

I threw my shoulder bag onto the couch and marched upstairs to take off my uniform. I went over to the bathroom next, slipping into my black pop shirt with a logo of 2 X's for eyes and a grin in a neon purple color font; and pair of black shorts to match. I gazed at my reflection in the mirror; slowly removing the tresses that covered my scarred eye. And for some reason when I looked at myself, I just saw a completely different person. A stranger.

And I hated it.

I hated looking at it. Hated what I became. Every single day I look at my eye, I just think back to that day. I wasn't heterochromatic, to begin with. It was just another scar. Another conflicting memory I have to bear for the rest of my life...
