There was a whole lot of time to burn while the battle stage was under repairs.

Kunoichi still had her eyes on the book she was recently given to her by Kimiko. Reading every word and detail. And as every second passes, her eyes would widen at what was written. Her mind closed the sounds from all around her.

The book. She grasped it closer to her. An overwhelming sensation while going through it made her have over a million questions. "Cousin, let's go. Our battle will start soon," the bird-headed cousin stood from his seat but didn't notice LaToya had not moved a muscle. She appeared so distant like she was galloping wild in her world and leaving reality behind for a while. Tokoyami narrowed his blood-red eyes. He tapped her shoulder and she looked over to her cousin in acknowledgment.

"Oh...right, I'm coming." She closed her book and immediately placed it inside her shadow into the Shadow Zone. As she ambled up the steps, Katsuki caught her hand. "You alright?"

Toya sighed vehemently and held his hand to slowly remove it from her. She displaced a slight weak closed-eyed smile. "I'm fine. It's just...all of the excitement. I'll...see you at the semi-finals. Okay?" Before she walked away, she noticed Katsuki have a confused face before switching into a confident one. "Hey, don't lose this match."

"Oh, I don't intend to." She chuckled and then walked up the steps to her waiting room.

"Kunoichi..." She stopped and looked back to spot the General Studies student. "What do you want now, eggplant?" She said monotonously.

"I just want to say good luck. If you face that egomaniac of a boyfriend that is."

"Thanks, emo boy. That's awfully nice of you." Brotherly, his hand was on her head, and ruffled it softly. A soft smile came from his tired, baggy-eyed face. "I'll be rooting for you, Princess."

The girl blushed and clear coughed quickly before a heel for the battle stage. "Umm...right. Thanks. I should...be going now."

She slowly walked away from Shinso and mentally screamed at herself. As soon as she left his field of sight, Toya slapped her cheeks with embarrassment.

WHAT THE FLIPPIN' HELL WAS THAT ABOUT!?
