NORMAL POV-

"Now, I will announce the results."

Mera stood on a tall platform before the students. Even after trying to keep the villains at bay whilst protecting the bystanders from Gang Orca and his henchmen, the test proved to be a challenge for the students. The rep then explained the scoring criteria. The large screen board behind him flashed and a list of names appeared. The students panicked as they individually searched for their names. Toya dejectedly sighed and skimmed over the last names that started with her last name.

One by one, everyone jumped as they found their names and finally passed the provisionals.

"Yes, I made it!" Jiro cheered before turning to Toya.

"You passed too, Toya! How do you feel about this?" The teen's eyes were hidden by her long fringes, with weaker excited energy unlike the rest of her classmates. She raised a weak fist in the air. "Huh, look at that. I passed."

"Okay? What's with the lack of enthusiasm?" Kyoka sweatdropped at the blunt use of her tone. "I'm just...tired is all," Toya shrugged lazily. Everyone began to revel in rejoicing and celebration as they all passed and were about to get the Hero licenses...

...well...almost everyone.

Kunoichi peered back at her angry boyfriend. His name, as well as two others, were not present on the board. They failed their exam.

"Todoroki!" Inasa walked up to the heterochromatic teen, then slammed his head against the ground in a bow. "I'm sorry! It's because of me, you didn't pass!"

"It's not your fault," said Shouto.

He didn't bare any hate towards the Shiketsu first year. They've encountered each other in the past, during the recommendation exam. It would've deceived anyone to think he was heartless as Endeavor back then. But Shouto has changed, he's shown to his classmates and teachers that he wanted to be a Hero, in his own way. "And thanks to all the things that you said to me, I have a lot to think about."

"Holy crap, did he fail?" Mina softly gasped.

"How could our top two classmates not pass the exam?" said Sero.

"If you might've been careful at what you said, then maybe you would've passed," Kaminari remarked, receiving a very hateful glare from the ash blonde. "You better shut the hell up before I murder you!"

"Hmph! Those entitled people at the top think so highly of themselves, don't they?" Mineta took the spotlight into his own hands and carelessly slithered over to Todoroki's shoulder. "Looks like the class hierarchy is collapsing-- "

"Can it, perv!" Toya smacked the short student with a single kick, which no one paid attention to or care about. Because everyone agreed, Mineta deserved that.
