Alice sped through the streets of Voulterra, swerving past people. We rounded a curve to find a huge group of people wearing red cloaks in the streets. Alice honked the horn causing people to jump out of her way as she drove past them.

"Why are they all in red?" Bella asked.

"Saint Marco's Day festival," Alice answered. "They're commemorating the expulsion of vampires from the city. It's the perfect setting. The Volturi will never let him get far enough to reveal himself."

"We have five minutes," Bella said. I put a hand on her shoulder, attempting to calm her. She relaxed a little but was till very tense. "Bella, just breath," I said. My sister began breathing heavily.

Alice honked her horn at a bunch of people but some officers stopped her. Bella got out of the car. "What about you two?"

"Bella, you're the only one he can't see coming," Alice explained. "If I go, he'll read my thoughts. He'll think I'm lying. He'll rush into it."

"W-Where do I go?" Bella asked, hurriedly.

"He'll be under the clock tower," alice answered. "Go!"

Bella shut the door and ran towards the clock tower.

Alice began driving away. "Alice, what are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm going to park the car and then we're going to get Bella and Edward." I only nodded as Alice drove.

Alice had to grab something to cover up with. I was wearing a hoodie so I was fine. I followed Alice to the clock tower and watched as he shoved the door open and walk inside. "Come on, guys. It's a festival. Wouldn't want to make a scene."

I followed close behind her. I saw Bella and Edward standing in front of us and in front of them were two men, both with red eyes. Alice stood next to Edward and I took my place beside Alice. The two men looked at me, obviously not knowing who I am.

"Enough," a girl said. She walked down the hall to us. When she stopped next to the two men, I felt a surge of some sort of power race through me. what the hell was that? I didn't say anything. I'll wait until this is over. "Jane," Edward said quietly.

"Aro sent me to see what was taking so long." The girl started walking back down the hall and we followed her. Bella looked at Alice.

"Just do as she says," the pixie haired girl answered. I saw the taller one of the men hand Edward a red robe. Gold trim surrounded the outside of it. I couldn't tell if it was actual gold, but judging by the looks of this place, I wouldn't doubt it.

Jane led us to a winding, brick staircase that led down. Jane stood behind Bella and Edward and in front of Alice and I.

After a few more steps, we stopped in front of an elevator. The two men got inside first, then Edward, Bella, Alice, me, then Jane.

The ride was very silent and uncomfortable. When the doors opened I almost let out a sigh of relief, but I didn't.

Some lady at a desk stood and spoke Italian, a smile on her face. I furrowed my eyebrows slightly. She's human.

"Is she human?" Bella asked.

"Yes," Edward answered.

"Does she know?" Bella asked.

"Yes."

"Why would she...she wants to be," Bella said figuring it out.

"And so she will be," one of the men behind me said.
