"Do you think you're going to continue this?" Dabi sat down on the side of Kai's desk. Tomura was sitting on the other side staring down at the paperwork.

"Do you like your human life that much? Maybe turning you into a demon was a bad idea..." Tomura scratched his neck.

"I'm just not sure how to end it? Humans live until a set time unless unforeseen circumstances take place. I never really enjoyed being a human, running a company, or trying to be a politician. It just sort of happened that way," Kai explained, taking another note.

"Why don't you just ditch it?" Dabi shrugged.

"That's what I'm saying," Kai sighed. "I haven't figured out a good way for the human 'Kai Chisaki' to die."

"Is that so?" Dabi nodded. "Makes sense, I guess?"

"Ah," Kai's eyes widened upon realizing something.

"What?" Dabi frowned. "Don't gawk at me. What's gotten into you?"

"You haven't been wearing your sunglasses recently," a soft smile formed on Kai's lips.

"Oh," Dabi hadn't noticed that himself. "I guess I finally figured out how to make my eyes less slanty? Besides," he grinned, "showing off your soul is a lot nicer than showing everyone who my father was."

"What was that?" Tomura jumped off of the desk. "Did you two hear that scream?"

"No one lives here except us. Not even the servants work here anymore..." Dabi's eyes widened as he remembered Kota. He'd been avoiding introducing himself in his demon form for so long that he forgot the kid was still here. Feeling like an asshole, emotions of unease rose within him, and Dabi and Tomura both ran out the door.

"I know I should feel some sort of way about the potential danger of my child," Kai rested his chin on his hand. "But I really never cared much for that boy. If I could've chosen, I think a girl would've been nicer. This house could've done with a feminine touch," Kai rambled on to himself as he followed behind his two boyfriends at a much slower pace. He placed his hands into his pockets and shrugged. Their footsteps loud enough to follow even without running behind them.

He turned the corner to see Dabi on his knees, staring into a room with the utmost shock. Tomura standing behind him with his hand on Dabi's shoulder, trying to comfort him in some way. An uneasy feeling in the pit of Kai's stomach. The kid must be...

Blood pooled out of the room, getting onto Dabi's pants. He was frozen in time, unable to find the will to move. His eyes forever focused on Kota's body. Kai walked over and stood in front of him, getting closer to the kid, he knelt down and closed the boy's eyes. "Who would do such a thing?" he muttered, despite not feeling any particular emotions for him. The two were never close. He was a means to an end, and now his end had arrived. Dabi was much more attached to him than Kai would ever be.

He looked around at the body, trying to find some sort of clues about his murderer. A stab wound right through the center of the chest and his hands pointed upward and down. Where had he seen this before?

If I was ever going to murder... then I'd probably make it fairly dramatic. A scene to remember. A wound right through the chest and the victim's hands pointed like a clock's. Kai was frozen in place beside the body. Dabi's demonic figure emerged along with a steady stream of flames. His tears evaporated on impact. Tomura tried his best to calm the male down, but nothing helped. Snapped back into reality, Kai grabbed Tomura's hand and led him away.

"Let him burn," he advised. "He needs to let it out. He has been holding back since invading Heaven, I can tell." The two made their way outside, staring at the building from the safety of a few feet. Blue flames engulfed the entirety of it now, burning hot with the rage inside of Dabi. Rage at God, for hurting Izuku and planning to destroy the world a second time. Anger at himself, for not being able to protect the people that he cared about. Not being able to save his brother or himself from his father. Wrath for the murder of an innocent child's futile death.

"Well, if there is one good thing to come of this," Kai clutched Tomura's hand. "The human, Kai Chisaki is dead. I should think of a new name to go by..."

"Go for something easy," Tomura said. "My name has clear roots to my angelic name. Dabi just picked something random, simple, a one-word title. You could do that too, I suppose." Tomura turned his head to look Kai in the eyes. "It doesn't matter to us what your name is, we're still going to be bitches and call you 'pretty boy' and 'eyelashes,'" he snickered.

"Overhaul," he nodded. "The end of my company but the beginning of my demonic life. It's fitting."

The two stared in silence as a figure emerged from the flames. His horns, nails, fangs, much longer than average. His purple eyes burning like the rest of his body, with small flickering flames a different shade than the blue. A low growl from Dabi's throat shook the earth.

"He got stronger," Tomura explained to Overhaul. "It must be because of his new title as King of Hell. I don't think either of us could stop him if we worked together. But, Izuku..." Tomura removed his hand from Overhaul's. He scratched his neck furiously, unable to admit that Izuku could stop Dabi in his tracks even without his angelic powers.

"He is upset. Sad. Angry. A mixture of the two. Just give him some time. His body is stronger now, his flames aren't burning his own skin."

"I want to help," Tomura's neck began to bleed. "But nothing I do ever helps."

"Hey," Overhaul put his arm around Tomura and brought him close so that he could hide in the safety of his chest to sob. "It's going to be okay," he assured. "Everything will work out in the end."

"How do you know?"

"I don't. It's just something we humans like to say."

"Humans are dumb," Tomura sobbed.

"Yeah, but so are angels."

Tomura forced a laugh. "That's true."
