"I think that's the last of it," Overhaul cracked his knuckles and rubbed his neck. He'd just finished making the new demon and angel safe spot. Part bookstore. Part bar, just like a certain somebody had suggested.
"Alright, lil' bro," Dabi slapped Shouto on the back. "I leave the rest to you," he grinned.
"You're still technically the-"
"Shhh, don't worry about the small stuff. You're the new head honcho and I'm sure you and Izuku over there will have lots of important stuff to do with everyone relying on you as new God and all. You won't even miss me."
"I always miss you," Shouto frowned, pouting slightly. "You're my brother so you better stop by to say 'hi' once in a while."
"Hm, I'll think about it."
"He'll probably come back here so much you'll wish he would leave you alone," Tomura snickered.
"So, that's it then?" Overhaul looked around at all of the new faces.
"I suppose so," Dabi nodded.
"What do we do from now on? With no gods to run from and all of that?"
"You could stay and help. I can't run Heaven, Hell, and Earth alone," Shouto sighed.
"Nope, I lived a life in the office. I'm done with that sort of thing," Overhaul laughed.
"We could always just travel about, you know? See the world or something. Check up on rogue demons, angels, and the like," Tomura shrugged.
"That seems like more our style," Dabi smiled, draping his arms over Tomura and Overhaul's shoulders.
"We're moving onto the peaceful portion of our lives, isn't that exciting?" Dabi laughed, knowing full well that it wouldn't be peaceful for much longer. There was bound to be a bump in the road somewhere.
"Oh, are you guys leaving so soon?" Izuku rushed around the bookshelves looking for something. When he found it, his face beamed and he held it out to Dabi. "A parting gift. I've been meaning to give it to you for a while, but just never found the time."
"Why are you giving me a copy of Paradise Lost?" Dabi frowned.
"It's not just Paradise Lost it's a double feature. Paradise Regained is also in there too, you know?" Izuku puffed out his cheeks and crossed his arms. "Hasn't anyone ever told you? Don't judge a book by its cover."
"Is this supposed to be some type of metaphor?" Tomura pointed to the cover, "Because you two met in the Garden?"
"I'm not sure I like where this is going," Overhaul shook his head.
"I'm not trying to say anything like that," Izuku waved his arms around frantically. "I just thought it would be nice. You are the Son of Satan, after all, maybe you'll relate to Lucifer? Wait! Why am I defending myself that wasn't the point!" Izuku stomped his foot down and puffed out his cheeks again. "You lost paradise because of a lot of shitty things but it came back to you," he gestured to Tomura and Overhaul. "That's all I meant...honest to Go-" Izuku stopped himself. "We should really come up with a new term for you," he glanced at Shouto.
"What? You don't like calling me God?" he half-smirked.
"I'm just going to leave that one alone," Dabi sighed.
"No you aren't, you were totally about to make some type of Daddy kink comment," Tomura elbowed Dabi in the stomach.
"Wouldn't it be a Mommy kink? Since God was a woman?" Overhaul raised his hand to object.
"I don't have either of those kinks!" Izuku's face flushed as he tried to defend himself.
"Not yet," Dabi snickered. "But I bet Shouto's new powers excite you just a tiny bit." Tomura elbowed Dabi in the stomach again.
"You know what, I'm just going to make the laptop right now..." Overhaul made his way out the door to get supplies. "Our car rides are going to be filled with fanfiction bickering, I just know it."
"I'd love to read the one you write about Kacchan," Izuku chuckled.
"How are you so certain we'll write one about 'Kacchan'?"
"I have known you for a while, Dabi, I think I know exactly what your first long fic is going to be about," Izuku smirked.
"Shit, code red, he totally knows about the whole bookstore running idea I had last night," Dabi muttered to Tomura.
"I must admit, that was the most canon idea you came up with. The possibilities for what those two could've been doing while Izuku was out of the store are endless."
"I already checked with a black light," Izuku shook his head. "There was no evidence of anything scandalous going on."
"Maybe we just have to investigate where Eijirou lives," Dabi clapped his hands together. "That's our first mission, let's go," he grabbed Tomura's arm and dragged him out of the store.
"Goodbye?" Shouto tilted his head, confused by what had just happened.
"Let them be, they have new adventures waiting for them."
"Yeah, and we have paperwork," Shouto glanced at the desk filled with papers he had yet to look over.
"Surely we can wait a bit longer before going back to work," Izuku winked.
"W-what?"
"Come on," Izuku grabbed Shouto's hands and dragged him to the desk. "There are more interesting things that can be done on this desk than reading papers. <3"
"Are we sure he wasn't right about that kink of yours?" Shouto glanced at the door.
"We'll just have to find out," Izuku smirked.
And so, it was written, in the book of ancient texts...
Thou shalt live happily ever after.
