Chapter 1 - Everything starts out happy

Elyssa's POV

Exactly a month back I had given birth to the most beautiful baby in the world, Evie Belle Sykes. She had gorgeous green eyes, just like her father. And she had soft, pink skin. She was the most adorable and the best thing that had ever happen to me. Nathan and I were very happy to have such a beautiful baby girl. It was amazing.

The band was taking a break for a whole year. This was mainly because of the fact that Nath didn't want me to take care of the baby all by myself. The management were completely fine with the fact of the lads taking a huge break. So it all ended up good for us.

A few months back, I left my job of being their security manager. It was mainly because I was pregnant, and I couldn't run around organizing their security every day. So I backed off. Now I'm a field agent. It took a lot of training and I had to take so many tests to finally pass and become a field agent. It was always my dream.

However my boss did give me about 2 months off, so I can look after this beautiful thing that I brought to life. I am so blessed to have such a lovely boyfriend and such a lovely baby. They both are the only family I have and they mean so much to me.

It finally stopped raining, and I could see a little bit of the sun come out of the corner of a cloud. We don't really get to see much of the sun here in England. It was always joyfull knowing that the sun atleast makes a tiny appearance once in a while.

I went into our room to see Nathan and Evie sleeping. She was sleeping on his lap as he rocked her on the rocking chair. It was an adorable sight. Nathan was such an amazing dad. For all the support he has given me, I don't think I could ever repay him.

I left the room and headed to the kitchen to make myself a cuppa. I turned on the kettle and waited for the water to boil, while I set a cup with a tea bag in it. All of a sudden Nathan emerged from nowhere.

"Hey babe!" He said as he quickly pecked my lips.

"Nath! I thought you were asleep! Where's Evie?" I asked.

"I put her in her bed! We can wake her up later, and maybe go for a tiny walk with her. The weather doesn't seem too bad! And it will be her first walk!" He smiled.

"Sounds great! Cuppa?"

"Yes Please!" He said as he took a seat on one of the highstools in the kitchen. I soon joined him with two warm cups of tea.

"Max called earlier this morning. He wanted to know if he could spend time with Evie!" I told Nathan.

"Really? She's already got her uncles to spoil her." He chuckled.

"Yeah!" I smiled as I took a sip of my tea.

"Thank you!" He whispered.

"Hmm?"

"I said Thank You!"

"Why are you thanking me babe?"

"For giving me the most beautiful thing in the world!" He smiled.

"Nathan! It took us both to make her!" I giggled.

"Yeah I know! But I didn't bring her to this world! You did!" He said getting closer.

"Aww! Nathan!"

"I love you babe!" He said kissing my cheek and hugging me tight.

"It's so good to have you home! I missed you, when you toured the whole world!" I said staring at his gorgeous face.

"I missed you too!" He kissed my forehead.

"By the way! Congratulations on passing the field test, finally!" He teased me! Emphasizing on the world 'finally'! I just slapped his arm playfully.

"Atleast, I'm a field agent now!" I stuck my tongue out.

"I know babe! You're my hero!" He said pecking my lips quickly and placing gentle kisses on my forehead. We were so loved up.

2 hours passed and Nathan and I were just cuddling each other. Either we talked seriously, or he made fun of me, like he always does. He loved teasing me. Suddenly we heard soft cries coming from the baby's room.

"She must be up!" I whispered.

"Yeah! I'll go get her!" He said.

"No Nathan! I'll get her! You can sit here!" I said as I got up.

"Oki babe!"

I walked up to her room to see her playing with her feet.

"Aww! Come 'ere babe!" I said as I lifter her and gently shook her in my arm. And she suddenly gave out a little giggle! That was the first time Evie ever laughed, so I was ecstatic. I slowly ran to where Nathan was.

"Nath! Evie just laughed! Oh my god she laughed. It was the cutest sound ever!" I squeeled.

"Honey calm down!" He laughed as he took her from my hand.

"Don't you want to laugh for daddy?" He said as her in a baby voice as he rocked from side to side. And she gave out another little giggle.

He looked at me with the happiest smile ever. "That really is the cutest sound ever!" He laughed.

"I know Nath!" I said as I wrapped my arms around his waist from behind.

"She's so beautiful Nath!" I kissed his cheek.

"Just like my beautiful girlfriend!" He said as he leaned his head against mine.
