CHAPTER 9

NOSIBUSISO

I felt a hand on my face and I quickly jumped on the bed. Remembering pretty well that Nhla didn't come home yesterday though the scents said it all. It was him.
Me:"Nhla Where were you?"I asked him. You wouldn't miss the smell of Alcohol from his mouth
Me:"Wait...Were you drinking?"I asked him through the darkness. I got switched on the lamp and he looked away from me
Nhla:"It's hard Nosi, I'm trying to not think about you but it's hard"
Me:"I don't understand, What's wrong Nipho?"I was now concerned. This was rather serious
Nhla:"I don't understand it myself,I.. I'm such a mess Nosi"He ran his hands on his fade looking at me
Me:"I..I don't know what to say Nhla"I sighed Looking at him. I don't know if he'll remember this tomorrow or not.
Nhla:"I'm a mess, I'm afraid to fall inlove Nosi and this..what I feel is..is"He sighed without saying anything further
Me:"You just don't want to fall inlove because of Linda, you still love her don't you?"
Nhla:"Yes,I will always love her"That was a little bit sad. I don't know why I'm feeling this way.
Me: cleared my throat"Ohk"
Nhla:"Look Nosi,I know you've been through a lot and all but what I'm feeling is just too deep. I'm a mess and you're totally not ready for me"I sighed digesting of what he's saying
Me:"I know,I don't know what I'm feeling too Nhla but whatever it is. It's just too deep"He looked at me with his lazy eyes as he flashed a faint smile
Nhla:"I'll wait, I'll wait for you"He got inside the covers
Me:"What are you doing?" I asked looking at what he's doing
Nhla:"The nightmares are just too much Nosi and it's just surprising that I didn't have any because I was with you so please don't deny this"I nod as he pulls me on his chest
Me:"We must Stop this"
Nhla:"Shush, just enjoy the moment"I closed my eyes

I dragged my suitcase downstairs finding everyone around the table. Nhla went back to his room in the early hours of the morning since he had to get ready for work. A smile quickly disappeared on Mrs Mhlongo when her eyes landed on my suitcases.
Mrs Mhlongo:"You're leaving already?"I nod with a faint smile
Me:"Yes Ma,thank you for a warm welcome"
Mrs Mhlongo:"I will miss you so much,you must visit me sometime"
Me:"I will do that"
Sizwe:"So You're leaving?I should just go through the suitcase to see if you didn't steal anything"I frowned looking at her. Mrs Mhlongo bought all of this for me so I don't know what Sizwe is on about but I'm sure he's mocking me.
Me:"I don't want to argue with you,I want to start my day on a very clean slate"He rolled his eyes. Nhla was so quiet,he didn't even look at my sight. Few minutes later Mapula walked down with only a bag since she didn't have any clothes besides the one she had been wearing when we came from the hospital. Sizwe's eyes were on Mapula and I knew all that was. He's into her!
Sizwe:"Oh you're leaving too"
Mapula:"Yes, thank you ma for the nice welcome"
Mrs Mhlongo:"You're Welcome, travel safe"
Nhla:"I will drive them home since I have to see Mlungisi about something"
Mrs Mhlongo:"Ohk then" we settled around the table having our breakfast. It was quite as Sizwe's eyes were still on Mapula who was so serious; I'm sure she has noticed how Sizwe has been looking at her.In Few minutes we were done
Nhla: cleared his throat"Can we please leave"I looked up to him meeting his gaze which he held for some minutes before standing up. We did too as we bid goodbye to the Mhlongo family then we walked out.

Bontle:"Oh Welcome,You look well"I smiled. Bontle is such a lovely soul and she got style
Me:"We're well I hope you're Well"
Bontle:"I'm very well,How are you doing Nhlakaniph" she says that hugging him. They pulled out
Nhla:"I'm doing fine You?"
Bontle:"I'm good"We were already settled on the couch.
Me:"Where's my father?"That just came out..she smiled
Bontle:"He's getting ready for work, Come let me show you guys your rooms"
We followed behind her. The bedrooms were beautiful indeed, unlike the Pink one from the Mhlongo residence.
Me:"I like this"I say to her
Bontle:"I'm glad you do, I'll leave you to it"I smiled at her as she walked out of the room. I unpacked my clothes hanging them on the closet. I was done in few minutes so I made my way downstairs.
Mlu:"Here's my daughter"I smiled so faintly because I'm tired of this smiling ish.
Me:"Hello Dad"
Mlu:"Hey, you look good" I nod
Me:"I feel good,and I see you're good too so I won't ask on how you are"
Mlu:"Cool, Nhla when are you getting married Entlek? You're always here
Nhla: Chuckles"You know that's a lie Mfethu, I'm not even ready for that"
Mlu:"Whatever,you won't be ready wena. I should look for a teachers so I'm sure you might help me with that"
Nhla:"Yeah"
Me:"Uhmm Teachers?"
Mlu:"Yes, since you don't want to go to school. You'll be homeschooled" I don't know anything about that so I nod

Mathapelo:"Mvelo you're nolonger interested in us right?"I looked at her without saying anything since I don't know why she's saying that
Mathapelo:"You're distant lately, since I told you about the baby you've been distant" I sighed looking away from her
Me:"You're reading on too much because there's no such thing"
Mathapelo:"I'm not a fool Mvelo,my family said I should tell you that you'll have to pay the damages"
Me:"The damages?"
Mathapelo:"Yes, you're the first man I've ever been with so yeah"
Me:"I'll talk to my family,but I'll only pay for the damages only"
Mathapelo:"What about Lobola Mvelo?"
Me:"I love you Mathapelo but not enough to make you my wife"I honestly say to her,I wasn't about to marry her ofcorse. Nomsa is enough for me,I still have my problems regarding her but I won't let her go.
Mathapelo:"Mvelo how can you say something like that?"
Me: huffed"I'm leaving,I don't have time for your nagging"
Mathapelo:"So I'm nagging?"
Me:"Can't you see that?"I was already fixing myself
Mathapelo:"Fuck you Mvelo! Leave vele since orata Nomsa"

NHLAKANIPHO

The house was so empty without Nosibusiso,I was in my room thinking about her. I'm not going downstairs for dinner, it's dull without her. I lay on the bed closing my eyes until I finally fell asleep.
'Come back here Nhlakanipho!'She shouts looking at me but I didn't want anything to do with her right at this moment
'No leave me alone! Leave me alone Linda'I shout back at her. She's my Pregnant girlfriend but he doesn't trust me.
'Im sorry, I'm sorry Nhlakanipho Ohk?' she says to me
'I love you Linda can't you see that?' I shoot back at her
'I love you too, I'm sorry come back here'She says that following me until I heard the car tires and things weren't totally blank. I looked at the road and there she was;she was covered in blood.
'Lindaaaaaaaaah' I jumped from the bed placing my hands on my face. I looked at the clock it was 2am. I tossed my phone over but the thought of Nosibusiso not having a phone flashed through. I sighed throwing the phone on the bed. I need her!
