New Abilities

Axton stares, shocked at her new ability, "so umm... should we tell Lilith and Tannis? Tannis may know." Liz drops back down to her feet, "that'll be great." Axton puzzles, "can you even touch anything without it bursting into flames?" Liz shrugs, "I don't know. I'll fly back and you can drive and I'll meet you there. Axton nods and walks to the car and Liz let's her wings form again and flies away back to sanctuary almost falling down a few times while getting used to them. She makes it back and falls to the ground with a harsh landing this time. She gets up and dusts herself off, "that wasn't expected." She sees some citizens looking at her with fear and slight confusion. Liz scowls at them, "if you say a word, or keep staring, I'll kill you and turn you into meat for my skag." The citizens scurry away quickly making Liz give an evil smile. When Axton arrives he gets out and leaves the sleeping Junior in the car. Axton walks over to Liz, "let's see Tannis and get you checked." Liz follows and gives him a little poke making him give a tiny yell, "why'd you do that?" Liz smirks, "to see if I was still hot to the touch. I guess I am." Axton chuckles, "yah think?" They go to Tannis's place which is the bottom floor of Roland and Lilith's house. Axton runs up stairs to get Lilith and Liz goes to Tannis. Liz walks up to Tannis and keeps her distance, "Tannis I have a problem with my powers." Tannis turns to face her, "I know Lilith told me you lost them for a day." Liz sighs, "it's not that. I need to show you what I mean. I'm like a Phoenix now." Axton and Lilith come rushing down the stairs and Liz and Tannis go outside along with Lilith and Axton. Liz smiles, "keep a good distance people this is cool as shit." Liz gets them to step back and tenses her shoulder blades making her fire wings burst out from behind her. Tannis is taken in shock along with Lilith. Liz tucks them back in and falls to her feet, "I never did that before. Also I'm hot to the touch just touch my arm," she holds her arm out for Lilith and Tannis to touch. Tannis jumps back a bit with a wince, "ye'ouch. I know about Phoenix power. It's great that you have them back, but how did you loose them?" Liz looks at her arms, "I lost them by crying. I know it's weird, but that happens." Tannis gives a bit of a puzzled look, "you know when you didn't know love? Well now that you know love and cried because of it... it somehow made your powers stronger." Liz gives a confused look, "what about me being hot to the touch?" Tannis thinks, "that should ware off within a few hours with your powers returning." Liz nods, "okay. At least they're back and better than ever." Tannis looks to Axton, "if you didn't teach her love when she cried she could've lost her powers forever." Liz huffs, "what?" Tannis clears her throat, "when Phoenixes don't know love and cry without it then they have a chance that they could loose their powers forever, but with love then your powers become stronger." Liz gives a quick confused look then goes back to normal, "okay." Tannis walks back into the house and Lilith looks to Axton, "thanks to you she has them still. Thank you Axton." Axton smiles, "no problem. I wasn't the only one though. You and Maya helped along the way to open her up to my love." Lilith giggles, "well you were the one to show her." Liz smirks, "I wish I could hug you right now, but let's keep you from ending up like a bandit that pissed off a fire skag." Axton nods and chuckles, "yeah let's not do that." Liz smiles, "okay. Can I have a kiss?" Axton whines, "sorry I have to say no, sadly." Liz gives a pouty face, "wait a few hours." A few hours go by and Liz is near the entrance of sanctuary practicing her new powers and suddenly she gets lifted up and fire bursts into the sky making it look like day and she falls back to the ground on her hands and knees. Axton jogs over and puts a hand on her, "you're not scolding anymore." Liz gets up, "stand back I'm going to test my powers." Liz unleashes her wings and hovers into the air and tests out her old fire powers. Liz falls back to her feet, "yep everything works." Axton smiles and opens his arms and Liz runs into his hug, "this is amazing." Axton kisses her head, "sure is." Liz stays in his hug and happy that she can hug him again without her burning him even though it was only a few hours it felt like forever. Liz and Axton hug for a while then Liz breaks, "I think we should pay our pal Jack a visit." Axton nods and holds her hand on the way to Moxxi's. Liz walks in and walks her way to Moxxi, "how's Jack been?" Moxxi smiles, "eh. I took my own bit of torture on him. Also what happened sugar? I thought you lost your powers." Liz sighs, "it was only for a day, but when I got them back I figured out that I can fly now and when I got them I was hot to the touch." Moxxi giggles, "it's cool you got em back hun." Liz smiles, "I know. Well I'm going to pay Jack a little visit, see you later." Moxxi nods and Axton and Liz walk into the back with Jack. Liz crouches by his cage, "hello Jack." Jack scowls at her, but at Axton mostly, "what do y'all want? You already have me locked up and are going to take over my company, what else do you want?" Liz shakes her head while clicking her tongue, "I never seen a man so defeated, so broke... I like it. Anyways I have something to show you. Axton step back." Liz backs up a bit from the cell and unleashes her wings for Jack to see. Jack smirks, "you were always hot." Liz releases back down and onto her feet, "excuse me?" Jack gives an evil smile, "you heard me, you were always hot." Axton steps in front of her, "she's the only one keeping you alive right now because I'd love to put a bullet in your head and as she does, turn you into skag food for mine and her skag." Jack puts his hands on the cell bars and stares at Axton, "oh do y'all have another skag because I'm pretty sure Junior is mine and hers. Also why don't you just kill me? Wait...you're just on a leash for an evil girl? You don't really love her and she doesn't really love you. You know I'm only telling the truth." Axton tries to punch him through the bars, but fails and Liz walks over to the cell, "Jack no one listens to you. The only truth you ever said was nothing. You never said anything true in your whole life." Jack smiles at her, "come on sweetie you know you only enjoy keeping your pet here on a leash. You have him on the same leash with Junior. You also have everyone else wrapped around your finger so tight it's turning blue. You just love the evilness of it. The thing with me pumpkin, is I never followed that leash." Liz smirks, "then why have you been thrown in here?" Jack chuckles, "because I got played and I know your going to do the same thing to your boy toy right there. Just wait for it vault hunter," he finishes walking to the back of his cell. Axton rushes out of the back room and Liz gives Jack the most evilest look she had, "Jack you are so fucking lucky you're alive. I could've let them kill you, but I didn't and Roland got hurt and you're now pissing off my boyfriend even more and I'm going to enjoy making you suffer for it." Jack grins, "you know how I made you feel cupcake. I know you'll turn on him. Just wait. You'll turn on everyone you love because that's what you do. That's all you were about when you were in Helios." Liz walks out to meet up with Axton. Axton quickly turns around, "is he right? Is that all I am, just a fucking pet?"

Note: it's getting heated thanks to Jack, but I won't let them fall out. Not ever!!!
