Choices

Liz gets puzzles with a bit of anger, "you listen to him!? Why would I ever do that to you? You are not a pet! I don't put you on a leash!" Axton gives her an angry look, "he has a point, you slept with him and said you had feelings for him and all this stuff and look where he is. I'm afraid you're going to put everyone in danger and use them, especially me. I do love you, but do you really love me back?" Liz's skin starts to heat up with a mix of anger and hurt, "after everything I've done and you really ask me that? You know what. If you're going to question me about everything then should I really be with you? You know what I'm done and I'll give you a choice, you can either suck up whatever the fuck is wrong with you and know that I mean everything and if I actually mean anything to you, or you can just leave and we will never be together anymore and possibly never again. I don't care what you choose, but I want you to think about this and then come talk to me." Axton tries to reach for her, but quickly moves it when it burns him. Liz gives a little laugh, "by the way when I'm mad I'm hot to the touch." Liz stomps away to Lilith and Roland's place and angrily climbs the stairs, and throws something random onto the ground and it sizzles from her touch and shatters on impact. Lilith turns to her sort of confused, "are you okay?" Liz paces around, "no. I'm really mad and when I'm mad I get hot to the touch so be careful." Lilith raises an eyebrow, "so why are you mad?"'Liz stops pacing and looks at her, "because of Axton." Lilith huff a laugh, "like I said before, why?" Liz huffs, "we went to see Jack because I wanted to mess with him and show off my super cool new powers and then Jack was saying all these things about Axton being on a leash and I'm just going to turn on everyone and he got upset, but what got me mad is he asked, do I really love him. I got really mad and so I gave him two choices either to suck up whatever his problem is and realize I actually do love him and he actually loves me, or we can break it off and possibly never get back together." Lilith hesitates, "ouch?" Liz gives her a weird look, "ouch is all you can come up with?" Lilith nods, "well I don't know what else to say. I do know that if you feel like you've done the right thing and think that you shouldn't be with him because he questions you and listens to an enemy than that's fine, go for it. My opinion as a watcher and had seen everything, I know that he loves you a lot and looking at your past he's just insecure about if you really do love him, or if it's just a like Jack said, a leash." Liz sighs and falls to the couch, "at least I'm not mad anymore, but I'm kind of sad though." Lilith walks over and plops down beside her, "remember when you were jealous because I had siren powers and you were stuck with your Phoenix traits...well you were insecure how people would react about that." Liz gives a nod and Lilith continues, "you always kept feeling like you weren't as good, but it turns out you're possibly better and you were always and still a bit insecure about it and didn't let it show. Well that's how Axton is feeling. He knows that you love him, but deep within he's insecure that you don't. You just have to show him." Liz perks up, "that was a long shot, but you actually did it. I think I get it. So he always felt that way, but Jack just triggered it?" Lilith thinks and then shakes her head yes, "now if you know what you're going to do let's just sleep on it tonight and then you can do whatever in the morning." Liz agrees and falls asleep on her couch and Lilith goes to sleep in hers and Roland's bedroom. Liz wakes up the next day still remembering that talk and rushes out the door to Axton's house, running as fast as she can. She hopes he's up, or this would be awkward. Liz runs into his house and sees a sight she'll never forget and storms back out taking Junior with her, "I can't believe he cheated. Even though we weren't that good last night. Who even is she?" Liz takes a seat leaning against the wall right outside Scooter's and echos Lilith with a mix of being angry and hurt at least she wasn't hot to the touch. Lilith picks up, "hello?" Liz shakily starts, not crying because of her powers, "Axton cheated on me." Lilith goes silent and the echo cuts. Suddenly Lilith appears in front of Liz at the entrance, "he what?" Liz points over in the directions his house, "he cheated. Go see for yourself." Lilith checks it out and sees the same sight of Axton and a random woman in bed together and Axton's cuddling her and teleports back to Liz. Lilith tried to keep her cool, "he loves you. I don't understand why he would-... what was that other choice you gave him?" Liz sighs, "to never get back togeth-...that's what he chose. You know what as much as it hurts I'm going to live with it. If he didn't have that much faith and listened to Jack then that's his decision and like love is, I have to support it." Lilith glances in Axton's direction and back to Liz, "that's very mature of you to say and not burn his house down. I want to though." Liz gives a tiny smile, "I hope she treats him better than I ever apparently could."

Axton wakes up to the sight of a random woman in his bed and almost jumps back. He instinctively looks under the covers and realizes what happened. He quickly gets up and gets his clothes on and thinks to himself, 'shit! What would Liz think? I can't just do that to her. I guess I got drunk and this happened. Wait... we had a fight, but what about? I can't fucking remember.' He looks down to where Junior was, "where's Junior?" He soon realizes what happened, "oh no. She knows." The woman wakes up, "what's wrong sweetie?" Axton grabs her arms, "get out! I need you out!" The woman giggles, "why? You and your girlfriend had a fight. I was just filling in. She doesn't know what she let go." Axton shows the regret and anger in his eyes, "out!" The woman smirks, "I mean I guess you picked the second choice so I'll see you later, vault hunter." Axton runs his hands through his hair frustratedly, "I've got to find her and tell her this was a mistake... what's Maya and Lilith going to do? They're going to hate me. I need to explain myself. Wait...Liz gave me that option. Wait...Axton don't give her up like that. Tell her before it may be to late. What if she cried and lost her powers?"

Liz had moved her place to Lilith's couch still trying to not cry because the fear of losing her powers. Lilith is sitting and comforting her and Maya is pacing, wondering why Axton did this. Maya sighs and comes to a holt, "I still don't understand why he would do this." Lilith shakes her head, "me either." Liz huffs, "talking about it doesn't make me feel any better." Maya speaks in an adorable apologetic tone, "sorry. I'm just trying to understand." Liz looks at her, "I'm just a shocked as y'all are. I mean I gave him the choice and if he picked that one than I'm leaving for Helios with Jack and Junior today and if he explains before I go I'll forgive him, but if he doesn't come before I leave I will be leaving and will possibly never return." Lilith and Maya look at each other then to Liz, "what time exactly?" Liz thinks, "I'll be leaving around an hour from now. I'll give him until then. Right now it's eleven. I'm going to go get ready and the rocket ready and I won't go if I'll be seeing Axton, but if not that's fine too and I will go."

Note: well he didn't mean to, but Liz doesn't know. Let's hope he can catch her with his decision and reasoning.
