As she skimmed through the stack of papers in on her desk she could feel her stress levels rising. No matter how many times this happens Kagome will never get used to it. However, with a nervous smile on her lips, she finds herself feeling grateful this was not her first time facing such a monstrous amount of schoolwork.

After flipping through the stack of papers Kagome remembered something. This stack was only for history class, she still had three other classes to get to. At this realization, Kagome was intimidated by the large work awaiting her. Nevertheless, she was confident with the help of some all-nighters and her friend's class notes she would get through this.

Speaking of friends, Kagome remembered what happened this morning. She should thank Ayumi and the risk of them being late for school for distracting Yuka and Eri. She always felt bad for lying to her friends, even if it was for a good reason. The less time she had to lie to them, the better.

Why was being a time-traveling priestess in training so hard? Why does she feel like she is making a mistake when is doing the right thing? Lying to her friends? Loving Inuyasha? Going home? Going to the feudal era... she really cannot win.

Kagome sighed. Not wanting to overwhelm herself for the hundredth time, she decided to shut out her negative thoughts and focuses on the matter at hand, school.

"Inuyasha, go bring Kagome back!" Shippo demanded as he glared at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha snapped, "I already told ya, she wants to be left alone!"

Shippo was angry. Kagome did say she would go home to restock on their supplies, but she said she would be back in a day. A whole day has already passed and she hs not comeback yet. Inuyasha must have done something to anger Kagome, or else she would never break her promise. Shippo knew Inuyasha was not telling the whole story.

"She told us she would come back after a day after gathering more supplies! She never told us she was going back to be alone! Why does she want to be left alone Inuyasha?!" Shippo points out without mercy towards Inuyasha.

Feeling defensive, Inuyasha argued back how was he supposed to why Kagome wanted to be alone. He even added, she might have changed her mind on a whim.

Shippo frowned and wanted to defend Kagome, but before he could take another verbal gab at Inuyasha Sango beat him to it.

"Kagome would not do that. She told us she would be back after a day. She knows if she takes longer, we would be worried. If she really left for home to have some alone time, there must be a reason. Something must have happened," Sango explained as she suspiciously eyed Inuyasha's increasingly defensive mannerism.

Deciding it was the best time for him to join the conversation Miroku opened his previously resting eyes and reminded Inuyasha not to forget what happened yesterday, "You had to go look for Kagome in the morning, meaning, she was gone for a whole night. What could Kagome had been possibly doing for a whole night before going home? Inuyasha what happened last night?"

Inuyasha felt cornered. First Shippo, then Sango, now Miroku, will Kadede start questioning him next? Wanting to escape the situation he turned around and headed towards the door. Before he left he scoffed, "All that matters is that she's fine. She wants to have alone time so she can sort out her feelings. If she's not back in three days, I'll go bring her back."

Naraku passively gazed out of his phantom castle. The only things he could see were barriers and clouds made of his miasma. The corners of his lips began to curl mischievously as he admired his own excellent craftsmanship. No one is was to find his castle, not Inuyasha, not Sesshomaru, and even if they somehow find his castle they cannot enter his domain. His poisonous miasma could kill anyone, demon, and human alike; unless they could somehow purify his miasma.

Only one human could purify his miasma, and she was becoming more and more of a thorn in his side with every passing day, but at the same time, she brings him great entertainment like no one else can.

At the thought of her, the smirk that previously appeared onto his lips it was replaced by a thin line.
