Where It All Started (sequel to The Challenge)

Chapter 4

Last time on Where it All Started:

We sat in silence for about two minutes. I glanced at the door to see if it was locked.

Well, we had time.

"Wanna makeout??" I asked Lucas.

He smiled and nodded like a little kid and we pressed our lips together, our tongues battling.

I didn't even hear any sounds around me until I heard the front door open....

Chapter 4
I heard the door open and tried to release the kiss.

"Hey Maya----uh..."

We turned around to see... Riley.

I sighed of relief. "Hey Riley what are you doing here??"

"I just came by to see if you wanted to hang out but... You seem busy." She said.

My face flushed and Lucas let out a smirk.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. "You can stay."

"What???" Lucas and Riley said at the same time.

"I said you can stay."

Well, this was a mistake. We had never all hung up together before. But, I didn't want Riley to think I chose Lucas over her.

I put my arms around both of them and walked to the kitchen.

"Just think... My boyfriend and best friend hanging out. How fun is that???"

"Sooo fun." They mumbled.

I clapped my hands together. "Great!!!"

-an hour later-
"It's my turn!!!"

"No it's my turn!!!"

We were currently in the middle of a board game and Lucas and Riley were fighting.

"It's my turn." Riley said again.

"No it's mine." Lucas argued.

"Maya!!!" They both exclaimed looking at me.

I lifted my head up and stood up. "Okay clearly you guys can't get along...."

I stopped talking to look at them am then continued.

"And I can't choose you guys so..you both should leave."

"But Maya--" Lucas said, coming closer to me.

I slightly pushed him away. "Please."

"I'm sorry." Riley said. In a blink, she was out the door.

After moments of silence, Lucas spoke up. "Are you mad at me??"

"No of course not, just disappointed." I said.

Lucas leaned over to kiss my cheek and then left.

I sat down at the kitchen table, just thinking.

-10 minutes later-
I heard the front door open and Ava ran inside the house.

"MOM HAS SOMETHING TO TELL YOU." Ava yelled, as she ran up the stairs.

I sighed. Probably in trouble for something Ava did... Again.

Or did she find out about Lucas? Oh crap.

I nervously stood up and peered out the window. I saw aunt Becky gathering all the stuff from the car.

Once she finally got inside, I immediately said "what is it??"

Aunt Becky laughed a little. "Maya I just got here give me a minute."

She put all her stuff down and took her jacket off, hanging it up.

"Sit down." She said.

She definitely found out about Lucas. I am so grounded!!

I sat down, swaying my feet back and fourth.

I felt a hand on my legs and aunt Becky looked up at me.

"There's no easy way to tell you this..." She started.

"I'm sorry aunt Becky I---"

"Maya we found your mom."
