Where It All Started (sequel to The Challenge)

Chapter 6

"I have to go Lucas, it's getting late." I said standing up.

Lucas stood up as well. "My mom is gonna kill me."

My eyes widen. Aunt Becky. "I gotta go!! I will see you tomorrow!!"

I gave him a small hug and than ran off.

About five minutes later, i arrived at my front door.

The inside looked dark so maybe aunt Becky was asleep.

I slowly opened the front door, which made me a loud creeeeeek. Crap.

I shut it and stepped into the dark house.

I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. I was starving.

"Maya." A voice said.

"Ahhhh!" I said, dropping my apple on the floor.

I saw aunt Becky at the table. "Oh my gosh you scared me."

"Where were you?" She said sternly.

"Out for a walk remember??" I said, hiding my nervousness.

"I thought so, but a three hour walk Maya???"

"Umm uhhh I---" I sighed.

"The truth is..... I was at a friends house." I lied.

"What friend?"

"A new friend."

"Girl or boy?"

"Girl."

Aunt Becky sighed. "Next time tell me how long you'll be at a friends house."

I nodded. "No problem."

We heard footsteps from the top of stairs. "Mommy come tuck me in bed!!!" She yelled.

Aunt Becky stood up. "We will talk more about your mom tomorrow. Go to bed soon."

"Okay... Wait what about my mo---"

Too late.

I walked up the stairs and plugged my phone into its charger.

I got a text from Lucas.

Lucas: did u get in trouble??

Me: no, u?

Lucas: nah. I just told my mom I was with u and she fangirled lol.

Me: Lucas can I skip out on this all nighter I'm tired

Lucas: noooo

Me: yessss

Lucas: don't leave me

Me: Lucas plz we will talk tomorrow

Lucas: fine. Sleep tight

Me: k. I lov--

I stopped typing. What did I almost text Lucas???
