After years of being in the showbiz, at last I was recognized at the age of 20, its my first time to have a lead role together with another promising actor. This movie was an adaptation of a famous book online who happened to be one of the most requested demand of readers na maisa-pelikula.
"Hi, Im excited to work with you... have you read the script?" pa opening statement ko with my leading man, I know its a stupid question but hey! at least I try to talked to him. He looked at me and smile.
"Oo, pero I still have hard time saying tagalog words with no accent." Alfred Jay is a half Spanish, he can speak fluent tagalog pero yun nga lang slang kaya he was end up being laugh at dahil sa kanyang tagalog with foreigner accent.
"Matututo ka din, puro pinoy kausap mo for sure maybe one month lang maa-adapt mo na agad ang pagsasalita ng tagalog na walang slang." He smiled at me, Alfred Jay was a handsome guy, his older than me for five years pero hindi naman mapaghahalataan.
Today is our meeting with the staff, by next week start na ng shooting namin. Teens in social media are so hype about the movie adaptation of their favorite story online and I am glad na we get support to them kahit na this is our first time to handle lead roles.
"Are you ready?" Alfred had this smile on his face, nagsabay kasi kami papunta sa TV network, currently we are both sitting on the van.
"Yes... I am ready..." nilahad niya ang palad niya sa akin. "Lets hold hands..." His smile never fade, sobrang gwapo niya sa paningin ko. Sana maganda din ako sa paningin niya... Kinuha ko ang kamay niya.
"Let's make this movie work and this love team work..." I felt the grip, hindi masakit, feeling ko nga secure ako kasi parang ang hirap kumawala, at wala din naman akong balak kumawala. "Yeah.... parang team real ba?" patawa kong sabi, he laughed at it too.
"Yeah pwede ng team real Eidanne."
"Sige let's make this team work, Alfred Jay" Bumukas ang pintuan ng Van at nakita namin ang flashes ng camera. Tilian ng mga supporters, ang daming reporter ang gustong kumausap sa amin pero nginitian lang namin.
We shared glances... and never let go of each others hand...
