Chapter 16

A few minutes passed and Naruto stopped crying and the rain still was pouring hard. Naruto pulled away from the hug and sat on the ground silently with a sad expression.

Sakura looked at Naruto and smiled gently. "Why don't you come and stay with me at my house?" She asked.

Naruto slowly raised his head and looked at Sakura, "I have a place to stay." He lied averting his gaze as he slowly stood up.

"Don't give me that crap, Naruto." Sakira said as she too, stood up. "Come on, you can stay st my place. We just need to get you some new clothes."

Naruto looked down and Sakura took his hand, "come on." She said and slowly pulled him along. Naruto walked behind Sakura who lead the way to her house.

Not longer after they left they arrived at a shop where they bought some new clothes which Naruto kept in one of his scrolls.

They then made their way to Sakura's home where Naruto took a bath and changed into his new clothes. Sakura did the same shortly after he finished.

"Do you want anything to eat?" She asked.

Naruto sat on the couch in silence, "I'm sorry for being a bother." He spoke up. Sakura approached him with a frown.

She kneeled in front of him and grabbed his hands. "Your not Naruto." She said smiling gently. "Now do you want something to eat?"

Naruto looked at Sakura and smiled a little, "ok." He said and stood up with Sakura. "But I'll cook. It's the least I can do."

"Sure." Sakura said.

Sakura sat on the couch while Naruto went to the kitchen to cook some food.

Some time passed and Sakura's mother, Mebuki arrived after helping some people in the village. "Sakura, I'm home!" She said.

Sakura came out of the kitchen and smiled, "welcome home, mom." She said.

Mebuki sniffed the air, "what are you cooking?" She asked putting her stuff down and her wet umbrella. "It smells good."

"Actually mom," Sakura began. "Naruto is cooking."

Mebuki's eye widened and she ent to the kitchen to see Naruto tossing noodles up and mixing it with other ingredients. Naruto turned his head and saw Mebuki standing there.

"Look how much you've grown, Naruto." She said smiling.

Narito was shocked, he put the noodles on a bowl and placed it on the table which had other foods on it too along with plates and glasses of water.

"You looks so much like your father, though." Mebuki said as she sat down with Sakura and Naruto too.

Naruto froze and looked at Mebuki, "y-you knew... my parents?" He asked.

Mebuki smiled, "knew them? I went to the Academy with them. Your mother and I were the best of friends along with Sasuke's mother too." Mebuki explained.

Sakura watched as Mebuki talked about Naruto's parents and her academy days with them until they finished dinner.

When they finished dinner Sakura lead Naruto to her room. "You can sleep on my bed, I'll go sleep on the couch." She said and was about to leave when Naruto grabbed her wrist.

Wait a sec... why the fuck did I just do that? Naruto thought. He could feel heat rushing to his cheeks and he averted his gaze from Sakura's. SHIT!!

Kurama laughed in his mindscape. Nice one kit! He laughed and laughed making Naruto roll his eyes. "N-No... y-you can sleep on your bed." He said still blushing.

Sakura noticed the blush on his face and smiled, "no, I'm fine sleeping on the couch." She said.

"But, this is your house. I can sleep on the couch since I always do that." Naruto protested.

Sakura shook her head, "and you're the guest. So you're sleeping on the bed, ok?" She asked.

Naruto thought for a moment and recklessly he went to the bed and laid down patting to his side. Sakura stated blankly at Naruto before her face went red.

Why do I keep doing this?! Naruto asked himself realizing what he was asking Sakura. Kit your so unbelievably stupid!! Kurama said through his laughs.

Shut up you stupid Nara Fox! Naruto yelled.

Sakura joined Naruto on the bed and after a short awkward silence the both of them slept peacefully through the night.

The next day, after doing their morning routine and having breakfast Naruto and Sakura were called to go to the Hokage Tower, again.

When they arrived in the office they were both surprised to see the rest of Team Seven and Team Eight. Naruto clenched his fists and aggressively shoved them into his pockets.

"What's going on here, baa-chan?" Naruto asked with a grim expression.

"Naruto, I'm sorry to have to call you like this just before you are to go on your mission again. But, you are to take Team Seven and Eight with you." Tsunade explained.

"WHAT?!" Naruto yelled. "No way! Why would I take them with me? My mission to practically kill, not babysit!!" Naruto added making an X with his arms.

Tsunade sighed, "all of you are dismissed, except you Naruto." She said.

The teams were confused but one by by one they all left the office excluding Naruto. "Speak." Naruto said in a demanding tone as soon as they had left the tower.

"Naruto, it seems that the air between you and Kiba is still not good. You need to do something about. I can keep having to tell him, despite the fact that I am the Hokage." Tsunade explained.

"But why? Kiba started all this! I didn't do anything to him and yet... and yet he was the one who called me weak and insulted me! More than Sasuke!" Naruto argued.

He let out a sigh and looked at Tsunade sternly, "I will deal with him. But if I snap I will not hesitate to put him down like the dog he is." Naruto said.

"You will not." Tsunade said glaring at Naruto. Tsunade on the inside felt scared because of the glare Naruto was giving her.

"Fine. But you'll deal with him if I do snap." Naruto growled and disappeared into thin air.

About ten minutes later, Naruto was fully dressed to fight. Since he didn't want the only clothes he had with him to be damaged he decided to fight with no shirt, again.

Naruto wore his usual fingerless opera-length black gloves wrapped in studded red-brown leather straps, baggy black pants, and pitch black shinobi sandals which were also wrapped with studded red-brown leather straps and a pitch black mask that covered his mouth and half his nose.

He had his scrolls attached to his black pants along with his kunai pouch and his kunai holster strapped to his right leg.

A few minutes passed and the others finally arrived. Naruto jumped off the tree branch he sat on and looked to see if they were missing anyone.

"Let's go." He said turning and running off with the others close behind him.
