Chapter 20

Water dropped from the ceiling and to the dark, damp ground. The droplet echoed through the quiet room. Sakura furrowed her eyebrows and slowly opened her eyes.

It was dark, the only source of light was the small lightbulb hanging above her.

She looked up to see an enforced metal door just a few meters away from her. She tried to stand but to no avail was brought back.

What? What's going on? Sakura thought, confused and looked down to see her wrists and ankles were cuffed to the wooden chair she sat on.

Suddenly it hit her. She remembered an immense pain on her head while she was keeping watch. Sakura's head throbbed and she groaned.

There was a clicking sound followed by the door opening with a creak. A bright light appeared as soon as the door opened making Sakura turn away.

"And the cherry blossom awakens." A deep voice said, the light behind him slowly diminishing. Sakura turned to face her "visitor" with a scowl.

"What do you want." Sakura asked glaring at the man who stood before her. The man smirked and leaned forward, his pitch black eyes reflected her image.

"I want Naruto." He said.

Sakura's eyes widened at the familiar figure, but before she could say another word her visitor had snapped his fingers and walked away as two men approached Sakura.

"Get all the necessary information you can." He said closing the door shut behind him.

The two cracked their knuckles, wife sadistic grins plastered on their face. "Now girly, it's time to talk." One said as Sakura turned away, praying and begging that someone would come to save her. (We all know who doe😏)

The gang were almost packing their things up while Naruto was up on a tree scouting the area for the person he had sent the letter too.

Suddenly a black crow flew towards the gang and Naruto jumped off the tree branch he was crouching on. "Anything?" Naruto asked.

Everyone raised an eyebrow and many more crows appeared flying past them and soon, once they passed Itachi stood before them.

Sasuke's eyes widened and pulled out a kunai throwing it at Itachi.

Naruto appeared before Itachi catching the kunai between his index and middle finger. "Stand down, Sasuke. He's here to help us." He said bluntly.

"Why the hell would he help us?" Sasuke asked pulling out another kunai. "He murdered our whole family!! He has to pay!"

"CALM DOWN SASUKE!!!" Naruto roared. Sasuke stood, frozen in both shock and fear.

Naruto's tone was threatening and other than that it felt like he was going to be torn apart if he defied his orders. Satisfied, Naruto turned and faced Itachi.

"Yeah, I think I might know where they're keeping Sakura," Itach began but then his expression turned serious. "It's under a genjutsu, but I can tell it's heavily guarded."

"That's fine by me." Naruto said his hair covering his eye. His anger was just about to burst. To him it felt like that he might just repeat the past.

"I will go alone. The rest of you guys head back to Konoha." Naruto ordered.

"What?!" Kiba exclaimed in disbelief. "We are not leaving you alone to fight SSS-ranked rogue ninja's!"

"Oh please, this is nothing to me, besides," Naruto paused clenching his fists tightly. "It was my fault that she got kidnapped in the first place. Whoever did will most likely be after me."

"B-But still, Naruto-kun you'll need all the help you can get." Hinata stuttered.

"I said no."

"He's right you know?" Shino asked. "Naruto has been dealing with much stronger ninja's more than us for such a long time and we're barely able to keep up."

"So your saying that we should just let him handle it even though he could die?" Kiba asked gritting his teeth. "Don't give me that bull!"

Sasuke took a deep breath and approached Itachi. "After all this, let's talk." He said sternly then walked up to Kiba. "I have an idea. Let's just do what Naruto says." He whispered in Kiba's ear.

His whisper was quiet but Naruto was to frustrated to even hear what Saduke had told Kiba.

Kiba reluctantly nodded, "fine, have it your way Naruto." He said.

"B-But K-Kiba-kun!" Hinata reasoned. Kiba turned around and winked at her. She then understood along with Sai and Shino.

"Let's go, we'll leave em' to it." Sasuke said already starting to head to Konoha.

Naruto turned to the other direction while Itachi had disappeared once again.

I will find you, Sakura. Just please be safe. Naruto thought running at full speed to the location where Itachi had located the kidnappers.

Sasuke ran, the others following close behind him.

"Oy! Sasuke! What's this great plan of yours?" Kiba asked.

"Ok, first, I never said great plan. Second, we're only going to go back to Konoha get some help and comeback and help Naruto." Sasuke explained trying to keep is short.

"Oh great! Who are we going to go to?" Kiba asked. "The hokage? Cuz y'know she ain't gonna like this!!"

Sasuke shook his head. "No, you remember those two guys that were in the hospital?" Sasuke asked.

"I believe their names were Kenta and Takeda." Sai spoke up.

"Yeah those guys, since they Naruto the most and they can probably track him down in no time." Sasuke explained. "Byt we gotta get there soon."

"Right!" They exclaimed in unison and Sasuke smiled.

"Let's keep going then, the sooner we get there the better." Sasuke said and ran full speed with the others close behind him as well.
