Kylo soothed Rey until her tears had subsided and only whimpers left her throat. Rey didn't know why Kylo had pulled her into a hug but because she hadn't had very much gentle human contact before it was strange. But she found herself melting into him. She had never felt comfort before.
"Ssh Rey I will look after you, you will never have to see him again. I will stay until we find out what to do."
"What can we do the world is falling apart around us. We are literally part of a limited few alive." Rey said.
"Well when I left the city they was whispers of a place North of here that people who predicted the apocalypse set up. It is a haven for humans and animals alike. But who knows if that is even true?"
"But what if it was ? That would mean we would be able to go there and survive!" Rey smiled.
"But Rey we have no idea how true that is and leaving here would be dangerous the zombies are everywhere."
"Your right it wouldn't be nice to live the rest of you life cooped up but I guess that is what we are doing now." She frowned.
"Well we have to stay Rey at least until all of the supplies run out. But at least we have each other." Kyle smiled at her.
It was getting very late now and the noise outside had quietened down. The heat of the desert subsiding and the colder temperatures of the night came. Rey and Kylo slowly started to drift off talking about what their favourite things where and joking around with each other. Kylo was the first one to nod off much to Rey's amusement with being able to stay up longer than him. But it didn't take her long before she was joining him in dreamland.
