Lover in Chaos Part 18

When Ben and Rey woke up they heard a loud knock on the hotel rooms door. Rey went to answer it. She still wasn't a zombie which was amazing news. 

When Rey opened the door she saw Obi Wan with a smile on his face. 

"When you ready I would like you to come to the lab please." He said before walking off. 

"What do you think that was all about?" Rey asked walking back over to Ben.

"He looks pleased maybe he has found something out." 

"Hopefully." 

Ben and Rey made their way into the lab. Rey had checked her wound with the help of Ben before they left their room and it looked like it was healing which was a good sign.

When they entered the lab they seen Obi Wan looking over some samples with a microscope. They was more mess than they was yesterday! They was a blackboard that wills filled with notes and research. 

"You asked for us Mr Kenobi?" Rey said.

"Yes I would like to share my discoveries with you both." Obi Wan said with enthusiasm in his voice. 

Obi Wan showed them the results and they said that Rey did actually have an antibody that repealed the virus. Obi wan was very excited this would be the start of the next generation. 

"With this we will be able to give a vaccine to those who come to the refuge meaning that those here will be able to survive a bite wound. We could ship the vaccine out to other refugages and save not only loads of lives but also the rest of the human race thanks to Rey." 

"You mean that if you use Reys blood you could create a vaccine to administer to people in hopes of saving humanity?" Ben asked.

"Yes pretty much exactly that Ben if it works that is but from what I have found it looks as though Rey will never turn into a zombie." Obi Wan replied.

Rey couldn't even believe what she was hearing, all of her life she had been a nobody a burden. When Rey met Ben she found her purpose in life something she never thought that she would find. Now she had got given the news that she wouldn't turn into a zombie it was a big relief she didn't want to die she would never want to leave Ben. To know that she was maybe the saviour of the rest of humanity made her scared.

"Rey are you ok ?" Ben asked her as she had spaced out.

"Erm yeah just a lot to take in. Thank you for helping me with this Mr Kenobi." Rey smiled meekly.

"No thank you dear you could help save us all." Obi Wan smiled. 

Ben and Rey walked out of the lab and headed back to their room. As soon as they were inside the room Ben grabbed Rey into a hug he was so pleased that his Rey would be ok. Happy tears dripped from both of their eyes as they realised it was all going to be ok. 

"Ben?" 

"Yes Rey?"

"This..." Rey said before kissing him. 

Rey had never been the one to kiss anyone as she was so shy and reserved due to her previous life but she was sure about this. She was sure about Ben.
