It was Saturday and I had told Quincy yes last night.
I decided my first mistake was agreeing to let him take me out. My second mistake was voluntarily getting into the car with him.
The event was thirty minutes away so he placed the address in his phone as I placed my seatbelt on. He turned his car radio on and it began to blast Privacy by Chris Brown...
-when the lights down. Why your pussy so damn good, miss lady? Go and put that booty up, baby, one on one. You know I'ma go crazy-
"Sorry" he said, quickly turning the volume all the way down.
It was obvious that he was listening to the song before hand and he didn't expect it to played. He even seemed kind of embarrassed. Shortly after turning Privacy off he began to play some Snoh Alegra.
I noticed he was holding his phone in his free hand and kept glimpsing at the gps, and seeing that was making me nervous and uncomfortable. I didn't have a problem with people driving and using their phone, but I did when it was a driver I wasunfamiliar with.
After five mintues of driving he spoke abruptly.
"You wanna hold it?"
"Huh?" I reply.
"Hold my phone. I can tell it's making you nervous, you keep glancing over."
"It's not making me nervous. I just don't know how you're gripping the wheel like that." I laugh.
"Yeah whatever, just hold it for me." He chuckles before placing his phone in my lap. Unlocked too.
The ride was silent until he spoke again.
"You good?" He questions.
I use the opportunity to respond to him as an excuse to look at him.
He looked mad serious while driving. His hair was freshly cut. He had earrings in both ears, which I never even realized. He looked mighty fine!
"Yeah... yeah I'm good." I reply nodding my head quickly.
"You sure you seem..." he glances over at me and let's out a little smile. "mmm, never mind."
"What, why are you laughing!" I ask.
"Laugh? Girl, that was definitely a slight smile." He chuckles.
"Okayyy, but why were you smiling?"
"Nahhh, nahhh."
"If you don't spit that shit out already."
He busted out laughing for a minute, probably cause he heard what I said differently.
"You just seem a little off, like you're tense or something."
"And that's what made you smile?"
"Nah, you just look cute with the way you've been stiff since you sat down." He laughs.
"I'm not being stiff." I scoff and he shrugs.
"That's not what it looks like from ova here."
"Okay." I simply reply.
The ride returns to silence.
For some reason I was tense. For some reason I was really scared and really nervous. I had underestimated how good Quincy was going to look and how close I was going to be to him. I didn't want to do anything to embarrass myself so I kept looking out the window like I was a damn fish.
"You look really good by the way." He says and I turn to face him
"Huh?"
"You heard me." He replies, glancing over at me with a smirk.
