Chapter 9

Tris P.O.V
I wake up before Tobias. He looks so young when he is sleeping. He stirs and I pretend to be a sleep again. He pecks my lips but I decide to have more fun. So I deepen it. Soon it turns into a full out make out session. I pull away and act like it never happened he just sits there smirking as I walk to the bathroom.

We get to the training hall in time to write up the fights. Soon after all the initiates walk in. They line up and we turn the list around. All the girls gasp. The pairs are:
Jasmine Vs James
Katrina Vs Connor
Lucy Vs Lucas
"FIRST UP JASMINE VS JAMES!" I shout they get in the ring. At first no one throughs a punch, then out of no where James punches her in the nose. It crunches, I'm pretty sure that it broke. Then her face turns red and she goes all whoop ass on him. With in 2 mins He is out cold. Finally her face turns back to normal. All the others look scared as she runs out crying. I am about to follow when Tobias calls the next pair.
The winners were:
Jasmine
Connor
Lucas
"Training over!" Tobias shouts as the initiates flee. I follow them still wondering what happened with Jasmine and James.
"I need to grab some stuff and talk to Chris." I tell Tobias.
"Okay I will meet you in the canteen" he tells me I nod, kiss his lips and walk out.
After a while I come to the chasm and see a girl with her friends stat around her. As I get closer I can tell that she has been crying. Wait, wait, the girls are the initiates, transfers and some dauntless born. I walk up behind them and see Jasmine in the middle crying with Lucy and Jess around them.
"Girls are you okay?" I ask. They look around and shake their heads. I nod and tell them to eat.
"Jasmine, what's wrong the last anyone saw of you was when you ran out of training?" I say.
She just sobs more. I stander her up and walk her to my apartment. Once inside we sit down and she has finally stopped sobbing.
"So what's wrong?" I ask again.
"Well, I might kinda like James. But I knocked him out and now he will never like me!" She. Starts to cry.
"No that's not true! Anyone could see that he likes you and that he would be lucky to have you. I mean when you walked into the ring his eyes had pure fear in them." I say.
"Then why did he hit me?" She asks.
"Well maybe he just wanted to get it over and done with." I say trying to make an excuse.
She nods and gets up to leave.
"Wait Jasmine. My friend is having a party so if you want the others to come you can." I say with an attempt to make her feel better. She nods.
"Oh and please you have helped me call me Jazz." She says and leaves. I smile and go to find Tobias.
