"Where have you been?"

"Why did you run away?"

"That was stupid of you!"

"I don't understand Donghyuck!"

"Do you have an explanation for this all?"

"What's going on with you?"

The moment he took a step inside, Donghyuck got bombarded by questions. It honestly overwhelmed him, almost giving him another mental breakdown. Sometimes he wished they could just leave him alone, but this time they didn't. They wouldn't stop until he gave them answers and answers only.

But he didn't know the answers.

That's why he pushed through them and as soon as he had a little space, he ran away. Not out of the building this time, he ran to the nearest room and locked himself up.

"Oh- Holy shit! You surprised me man", a sudden voice spoke up from behind Donghyuck (who had slammed the door shut harshly by the way). The boy turned around and made eye contact with Angie.

"I'm sorry.. I just want to be alone", Donghyuck sighed while looking away again.

"Okay, I was about to leave anyways..", she walked towards the door, unlocked it and stepped out of it, "Oh one thing you should know-", she began but got cut off by the door getting shut and locked in her face. She huffed annoyed and shrugged "Rude.. Well not my problem anymore."

Donghyuck finally fell onto the ground, sitting in silence for a while until he heard footsteps. His head perked up and he could hear the door- of what he assumed would be the bathroom-open. He didn't bother to look up and see who was there, it would be a person he knew anyway.

"What are you doing here?', that voice made his head snap into the direction it came from. He definitely knew this person and gulped slowly.

Donghyuck scrambled up quickly and looked at Mark's cold eyes before averting his gaze to the floor. "Just wanted to run away and escape from the people outside", he muttered softly, but Mark heard it and scoffed.

"Just like you ran away from me?", he heard the older say, Donghyuck sighed and looked up.

"Look.. Mark, I'm sorry-"

"Get out", the said one cut him off with a steady and harsh voice, eyes still as cold as ever. "Mark-"

"Get. Out."

"But-", the boy tried one last time.

"NO! GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!", Mark screamed as he stepped closer and closer to Donghyuck, intimidating him. But somehow, the younger didn't let the slight fear win as he stayed put. No matter how hard Mark screamed at him to get out.

"Just please..Get out", finally Mark's voice broke as he lowered himself on his bed and buried his face in his hands, "Get out..", he continued to mutter softly and shakily. It broke Donghyuck's heart, especially knowing that this was all his fault.

He carefully sat next Mark, making sure there was enough space between them to not scare them off. "I'm sorry for running away.. I just don't know how to lie, so running from you seemed like the best option", Donghyuck confessed. And even though the older was confused, he chose to stay silent.

"I'm sorry for breaking your heart in the most rude and selfish way possible, it's so stupid of me. Just everything that's going on right now, the chaos in my head, it's all so stupid", the younger continued while staring at the wall in front of him, "I'm so stupid."

Mark still didn't answer and still didn't look up at Donghyuck, perhaps he wasn't listening or even asleep.

"I'm so stupid for not just telling you that I love you back, so that I could make you mine.. For not letting you know that I want to return your feelings", the way Mark's body tensed let Donghyuck know that he was actually listening.

"Then why didn't you just say yes?", Mark finally sat up and only now Donghyuck realized that the other had been crying.

"Because something stopped me from doing so", Mark scoffed at the answer and asked what 'something' meant.

"My insecurities.. My insecurities are holding me back", Donghyuck sighed and stood up.

"Then tell me about them Donghyuck, we can make this work..", Mark pleaded as the younger walked away from him. He know he shouldn't, but he was craving the touch of Donghyuck. He needed something, even if it was just their hands brushing against each other. But it seemed like Mark's body wasn't listening, he couldn't walk after the boy he loved.

Why couldn't he?

Maybe because he also had insecurities that stopped him from making things right.
