Special Chapter; XIAODERY

It was late in the evening and Xiaojun was happier than ever.

After they had waved goodbye to the ex-gang, Hendery had told Xiaojun to follow him. The two hadn't spend that much time together anymore and Hendery noticed Xiaojun's mood going down slightly.

In the hope to spend the night together, Hendery had planned many surprises to brighten up the mood of his boyfriend again.

The first surprise was a motor.

Hendery had grinned proudly when he saw Xiaojun's shocked face. "Y-You hired a motor?", Xiaojun whispered while looking at Hendery. The latter shook his head. "I bought it, it's ours now."

Xiaojun had broken out into a wide smile, he then seated himself behind Hendery and put his arms around the other's waist. They used to make road trips on a motor together, before they got too busy with work. So this brought all the happy memories back again.

Like cuddling under the stars, having water fights in cold clear rivers, singing songs around the campfire and waking up by the sound of birds singing. It was just them and nature, it was the peak of their relationship.

The happy laughter of the two echoed through the streets as they drove to the next surprise of Hendery.

A small cafe.

It took a while for Xiaojun to recognize the place, but when he finally did, the boy gasped lightly. "You remembered?", he whispered while staring at his boyfriend with heart eyes.

"And you almost forgot", Hendery grinned while pecking Xiaojun's lips and walking into the small place.

"Go sit in our spot, I'll order", he then told Xiaojun who nodded giddily and dashed off towards the corner of the cafe.

Call it cliche, but here is where they met.

It had been a busy day for the cafe, Hendery had walked into the little restaurant, hoping to find a spot. The only free space was next to a boy- who was furiously typing on his laptop- in the corner.

Hendery sat next to him and had gotten curious, of course, since the boy started to type even more aggressively. He had taken a quick look at the boy's screen and noticed that he was, in fact, ranting about him.

This made Hendery laugh in delight as he tapped the boy on the shoulders. "Hi, want another drink? I'll pay", he smiled as he watched the other's eyes widen.

"No, you don't have to! I don't have the money with me to pay you back right now", he stuttered.

Hendery just stood up. "Don't worry, when I get your number we can make a deal about you paying me back by going on a date with me", with that he winked and left to get some more drinks. Leaving the flustered Xiaojun alone, as he himself was blushing furiously too.

Hendery giggled at the memory and purposely sat down on Xiaojun's lap while placing the cups in front of them. After drinking their drinks, the two drove off to their next destination.

The woods.

This had been the location of their first date. They decided to go to the woods and just walk around while getting to know each other. It might sound boring for some, but this was the best first date the two had experienced so far.

Within a day the two had gotten incredibly close and Xiaojun noticed that he felt very comfortable around Hendery. While the said one noticed that he could truly be himself, without being judged by Xiaojun.

And that was exactly what they needed.

Maybe also a map, because eventually the two had gotten lost in the unbelievable big woods. And yes, it was scary. And yes, there might have been some frightened tears. Especially when it started to get dark.

The two had wandered around aimlessly, their phones died and there was not a single light, expect from the moon.

The two held onto each other's hands tightly, scared that they would get lost even more if they let go of each other.

So when Hendery saw a little light in the distance, he screamed in relief (startling Xiaojun) as he began to run (dragging Xiaojun with him).

Finally getting to the lights, they noticed that it was a path.

And it was wonderful. Almost like a fairytale.

The lights were hung up on each side of the wide path. It made sure that you could see where you were walking, nothing more and nothing less. You could only see the first row of trees, the leafs glimmering in the lighting.

Xiaojun and Hendery had stared at the path in awe.

It was beautiful, magical.

So they started walking, honestly not caring where the path would take them, since it was better than the dark, scary woods.

After what felt like just a minute, the two had found the ending of the woods. Here was also where the path stopped, the lights no longer needed since the lanterns aside the roads were enough.

And as Xiaojun remembered this, Hendery had taken his hand and walked with him through the forest in complete silence. Now they knew so much about each other and they were comfortable enough without having to speak.

It was slowly getting dark, but this time neither of them seemed to panic. Neither of them were afraid for what might be hidden behind the trees. Neither of them seemed to care. Since they were together.

Suddenly Hendery halted, making Xiaojun stop walking too. The said boy slowly raised his head and his eyes widened in shock once again.

There in front of him, was the path with the fairy like lights.

Xiaojun could feel himself tear up. He never thought that it was possible to be able to love Hendery even more than he already did.

But the latter proved him wrong once again.

Xiaojun looked at Hendery as both of their eyes sparkled, thanks to the lights in front of them. But not only that, they also held another light in their eyes.

And that little light was meant for only the two of them.

Hendery smiled and extended his hand, waiting for Xiaojun to take it. And when he finally did, they started to walk once again.

Leaving the darkness behind and only focusing on the light and the path in front of them.
