Damn it...Great job Stephen
Stephen started to walk as he was holding his broken nose. He really didn't care about his injury. Rather, he cared about what Tony is thinking right now. As much as he hated avoiding him, he couldn't forget what he and Christine said the night before.
———————
Stephen was busy annoying Tony as he received powerful punches from the latter. To be honest, he's never been this playful before. He was the person who was always serious, a man who never had time for jokes. But when Tony entered his life, he changed."Tony. Look what I got" Stephen teasingly said as Tony turned his head to see him holding his armor. Tony fumed and ran to Stephen as he was trying his best to not be caught.
"Get back here you idiot!" Tony screamed as Stephen laughed like a child. It continued for hours, and when Stephen was trapped in the suit, it was Tony's time to laugh.
"Don't even laugh" Stephen said with an annoyed and embarrassed expression as Tony discarded what he said and pointed at him with a teasing smile.
"Pfft! You should've seen the look on your face!" Tony said as he cried laughing while pointing as Stephen's annoyed face. After a few seconds, both started laughing. Both were in a daze of bliss as they were laughing at each other.
But happiness always come before sadness right?
"Steph?" A soft voice called, making both men stop from what they're doing. Stephen turned his head to see his girlfriend, she looks calm but her eyes speak different.
Stephen knew Christine very well, to the point where he can tell what she is feeling by only looking at her eyes. And when he does, all he could see in her is something that he hates.
...Jealousy
"Chris..." Stephen said as he went nearer to Christine, not looking back and noticing a small pout forming on Tony's face. When Stephen went nearer, he saw how her eyes changed as they became calm.
She's so possessive.
"Can we talk later night? I have something to say" Christine asked as she looked over to Tony who was now thinking if he should walk away or not.
"Sure. You can always tell me everything" Stephen assured Christine, making the latter smile. He did a fake smile, covering whatever thoughts he had on his head.
12:56 am
Stephen and Christine were out in the balcony as Christine started to take a huge breath before speaking her thoughts.
"You sure you won't get mad?" Christine asked as Stephen just nodded, knowing what she would say next.
"Sure" Stephen faked another smile as she looked at the dark sky and then his blue pools.
"I don't want you to be close with Tony" She looked at Stephen with a stern face, making Stephen roll his eyes. Silence wavered in the air as both sensed a tense atmosphere.
"No." Stephen said as Christine clenched her fists and glared at Stephen.
"And why not?" She asked as Stephen just rolled his eyes.
"Here we go again with this conversation. You let your jealousy over your head. How many times do I have to tell you that he's just a friend?" Stephen said as he gritted his teeth. Christine slapped him in the face but Stephen didn't mind.
"B-but he's your ex! You had memories! He might still have feelings for you!" Christine half-yelled as Stephen furrowed his brows.
"So what?! I have you! Don't you trust me?" Stephen said as tears were starting to form in his face. And with that question came Christine's silence. She doesn't know what to say, it seems like that was the question that she needed to answer all along.
