Dear Future me,
I hope you do no forget
Of how you used to be
Of the deep thoughts and that silly betDear Future me,
I pray you are happy now,
That the tears are dried and you truly smile
That you still do that silly little bow
That looking in a mirror doesn't still fill your mouth with bileDear Future me,
I hope you understand that you do not need a him
Because you need to love you, before you like anyone
I hope you shine on your own, with a light that doesn't dim
I hope that light is brighter than the sunDear Future me,
I pray you take care of yourself now,
Instead of laying in bed thinking of things you cannot change
You clean your room and applaud yourself, take a bow
Instead of drowning yourself in sorrow, then cleaning your room and call it a fair exchangeDear Future me,
I hope you are strong
That you understand that tears do not equate weakness
The same way being mean doesn't make you cool
That you learn to embrace your uniqueness
That you do not continuing acting like a foolDear Future me,
I hope and I pray for you a lot
Because right now I envy you
Right now I do many things without a thought
But you are past that, you think, you wish negativity adieuSo,
Dear Future me,
I hope I meet you soonand when I do
I hope that you remember me, but you are better.
