Cake

'Cake! We have cake!' I instantly recognised the voices of my best friends. I then ran down the stairs towards them.

'Hey guys! I missed you all so much. What a surprise it is seeing you all here. Nice cake, let me get that for you. Your hands must hurt' I spoke my eyes not moving away from the triple chocolate cake.

Just as I was about to reach out for the cake whoever was holding it pulled it back & a heavy arm was across my shoulders. 'Not so fast missy. We need to put candles on it & your dad isn't even here yet' I glared up at Jacob he deliberately put more pressure on my shoulders a smirk on his face.

'I don't like you' I spat

'I don't like you too' I could sense my mate before he even spoke. He then let out a growl & aggressively pushed Jacobs arms off me pulling me closer to him.

'Ew I don't like you too' I spoke moving away from my mate. He then let out a loud chuckle 'That's not what you were saying up in your dads office' he had a smug look on his face.

'Low blow prick, I can only blame my wolf for that' I spat going towards the kitchen. 'Guys are so freaking stupid' I sighed sitting next to Becca & Maria.

'Did you think I forgot about the laps?' Dads voice then bellowed startling me. 'I'm not in the mood dad'. Putting my head in my arms.

'I don't bloody care, you're doing those laps even if takes your all night' He spoke. I knew it was his Alpha traits that made him even more annoyed. 'Fine, but I'm pissed & you've ruined my night more' I then got up from the table. Both Maria & Becca hadn't uttered a word.

'Mate?' Alpha Wesley spoke looking confused at the kitchen entrance. 'Go away Wesley. She's going to run her laps as punishment' Dad spoke looking up at Wesley. 'This late? Something could happen to her'. Worry was flashing through his eye, he came closer to me & reached out of me. Placing his hand on my arm holding me close to him.

'She'll be fine, unless you want me to send her out with Jacob?' Dad had a smirk on his face. The wolf beside me growled. 'You've got 30 minutes & I want 20 laps done around the land. I'll be asking the pack if you've done exactly 20!' He spoke leaving the kitchen.

'What was that all about?' Becca was the first to ask clearly confused. 'My Ella wanted to be rude to her dad so now this is her punishment'. Wolfie said rubbing my arm.

Jacob then laughed which made the rest of them laugh. 'What have we said about thinking before you say Els?' Maria said still laughing at me. 'Hmm, I presume this isn't a first then?' Wesley mumbled beside me.

'He should be glad I didn't accidentally say it to the whole pack!' I sighed leaning into Wesley. Ruby purred happily. 'You need to be more considerate, his only child has found her mate. You have to understand he's probably stressed'. Becca spoke looking at me.

'Okay okay, well I've got to run laps!'
