"Seriously, a small peck on my cheek? That was nothing" Wesley whined shoving his head into my chest.

"Okay so my kisses are nothing to you?" I huffed. It was in my nature to wind Wesley up, the look of panic that flies across his face before he finds something to say or apologies makes it hard for me not to burst out laughing.

"No, I didn't mean it like that. You can peak me on my cheek all you want & I'll be ecstatic" He said lifting his head up from my chest.

"Hmm okay, now what did you say about training earlier today? I ran my hands slowly through his hair. "Yes, we're going to train today. Now tell me sweetheart, how do you all train here?" It was a mystery on how I understood everyone word while he had his face squashed against me.

"So, we have 3 groups. To begin with, female & males are separate. That's to understand basic skills & defence. Also because it's a lot easier training when there's not un-mated wolfs drooling at one another. We then make it too stage two, which is training against males & females. Then eventually you hit stage 3 which is training with the Beta or Alpha" I explained to him. Since I was going to be an Alpha I was trained by my father since I shifted. When I do train I'm always in stage two just so they all can go against a higher skilled opponent.

"Okay, how about you get dressed & we'll make our way down to the fighting grounds" Wesley said getting up off me & placing his hand out to get me off the bed. "Okay, but I'll warn you, I haven't trained in a very long time" I said getting up & making my way to my closet.

"Hmm, always excuses with you mate. But it's okay. It'll only be your Beta or father" He said heading towards the door to leave. I looked at him confusedly. I'm not going against my father or the Beta I thought to myself.

Meh, he's new to this. He'll figure it out.

"Hey babe, your dad wants to speak to me. Something about the rouges. I shouldn't be gone too long, I'll see you at the fighting ground" Wesley screamed.

"Okay losers, I haven't trained in forever & my mate has forced me here so let's go" I said walking up to both of the commanders. These guys were two of the many commanders we have in charge to ensure we don't kill anyone.

It had been nearly two hours but Wesley still hasn't showed up. But I still pushed through. Something about knowing my mate would be here soon & not wanting him to watch me lose a fight pushed me harder.

I was suddenly aggressively pushed to the ground. The heavy body of my opponent on me. "Now Ella, tell me what the first basic rule is that we teach?" The commander asked keeping his weight on me. My heart was thumping against my chest. This was the only technical break we had taken.

"Never get distr-" I wasn't able to finish off my sentence before my opponents body was pushed off me by a big black wolf. Knocking the commander out in the process. I hurriedly got up the black wolf had its back to me. Still with the commander under him. I made my way slightly closer before the wolf turned around looked at me & the familiar growl ripped through the air.

Wesley, the stupid guy knocked my bloody commander out. "Bring me a shirt & some pants for him to get dressed back into" I threw across my shoulder.

It wasn't an usual sight, we liked to train in our human forms before moving to our wolfs & most would shift by accident not knowing how to control their rage.

Wesley growled again, this time he made his way closer to me. His wolf was clearly not happy. Another commander attempted to stand in front of me to block me from Wesley but before I could even let a word out he was slammed against the floor too.

"Stop, he's my mate. Alpha Wesley. Just go do what I asked & I'll deal with him" I huffed walking across to Wesley unimpressed. The commander that had got knocked to the ground nodded his head & hurriedly went to comply with my orders.

I sat down in front of Wesley glaring at him. "You can't go attack my commanders like that" He barked & growled at my response. "Okay, I'm not going to argue with you whilst you're a wolf, wait until their back & shift" I said playing with the rocks on the floor.

I heard the familiar crack of bones, I knew he was shifting but that meant he was naked. I screwed my eyes shut. "Bloody hell, at least wait for your clothes & then shift" I huffed out at him. My body wanted me to run but that would mean opening my eyes.

"He was hurting you" was the first thing he said. "No, we were training like you had suggested" I said. It was taking everything for me not to open my eyes & glare at his stupid face. But I didn't trust myself or Ruby to keep our eyes on his face.

"The clothes Ms Ella" the familiar voice of my commander said. "Thank you, will you kindly pass them to Alpha Wesley?"

"You can go now unless you want to watch me get dressed?" Wesley huffed out. Initially I thought he said it to me, but the voice of my commander apologising & the retreating footsteps made me realise who he said it to.

"Why was you training with him?" He asked. I opened my eyes to double check he was dressed. Which to my luck he was. His arms were crossed stood up directly in front of me.

"Because that's how it works. I stay in stage two until I upgrade to an Alpha then I help train. Why would I go against my father when he's already taught me how to fight while growing up?" I said looking up at him. "Okay, so why was he on you? And why are you half naked?" He asked glaring at me. I looked down at my outfit. Black yoga pants & a sports bra. I had a jacket on earlier but it got too warm.

"Nope, we're not doing all the possessive mate thing now. You practically forced me to train & I got distracted so he attacked." I said, now standing up.

"You also left me for over two hours" I mumbled annoyed at his disappearance for so long. "I'm sorry honey, but your dad wanted to have a chat" he said stepping closer to me.

"You ruined my training. The poor guy is still passed out" I looked across to see my opponent still in the same position.

"I'm sorry, can I get a hug?" He asked stretching his arms out towards me. "No, did you not hear what I just said??" I stepped out of his embrace baffled.

"What? I said I was sorry. That's how it works?" Wesley looked at me confused. His head slightly tilted. "No it doesn't, stop acting like a kid Wesley. I was busy" his attitude was irritating me.

He still had his arms stretched out, a small confused pout on his face. "Put your arms down, I'm not giving you a hug"
