(By the way, this is what Evelyn is wearing, in case you guys were wondering.)

I turn around to free the dwarves, they all have looks of amazement. I don't know if it was from me killing the troll or from Gandafl's sudden appearance. It might have been both.

Then the dwarves start cheering. "Get your foot out of my back!" Dwalin snaps straining under the ropes.

I went over to the dwarves on the ground and cut the ropes on the bag with my dagger, and freed them. I did Thorin last on purpose. When I freed him I said, "Next time don't leave me at camp." Then I stalked off towards Gandalf.

"That was pretty impressive Evie," Gandalf said looking at the troll on the ground.

"Thanks, I don't even know how I pulled it off." He chuckled a little bit at that.

"Where did you go? Thorin asks Gandalf from behind me. I turn around so that I'm next to Gandalf and facing Thorin.

"To look ahead," Gandalf replies.

"What brought you back?"

"Looking behind. Nasty business. Still, they are all in one piece."

"No thanks to you burglar."

"He had brains to play for time. None of the rest of you thought of that." Gandalf and Thorin turned to the troll statues. They stared at them until I spoke up.

"These trolls came from the Ettenmoores."

"Since when do trolls come this far down?" Thorin asked

"Oh, not for an age, not since a darker power ruled this lands," Gandalf replied. "They could not have moved in daylight."

"There must be a cave nearby," Thorin said.

All the dwarves start looking for the cave, I stood with Gandalf.

"Found it!" One of the dwarves yelled.

Because of the smell, I didn't really look forward to entering it. I made my way on top of the cave so I could have a good view of our surroundings.

"Where's Evie?" I heard Thorin ask. I looked down and saw Thorin looking at me with a raised eyebrow. I shrugged and said. "I have a clear view of our surroundings from up here."

He shook his head, a small smile on his lips. "Come down now would you?"

I jumped off the cave and rolled to break the fall. I came to standing right in front of him. "What can I do for you?" I said with a playful smirk on my lips.

"Well first, I'm here to say that I won't leave you out of anything again."

"Good, I'm glad you learned your lesson."

"Next, I have something for you." I raised my eyebrow and he held out a dagger. I looked at it and my mouth fell open. It was my father's dagger the one he had on him when Smaug came. "Is something wrong?" He asked looking concerned.
