After leaving Josh's house, I headed home.
Caelum wanted me to stay longer, so I did. Caved easily with those beautiful blue pearls of his.
I sat with them while they ate. I kept having to reassure Kensleigh that I am okay and didn't feel for eating, I would get food when I went home. After the fifteenth thousandth time, she gave in before me.
Josie was the first to leave. Her dad came to pick her up, saying they had plans and needed to get going before they were late. I soon followed suit. With Caelum's complains of course.
"Caelum.. I promise, I will visit you okay? I'm not saying bye forever." I looked down to the little cheeky monkey hanging onto my leg with his butt on my foot.
"I wanna go with you!" He was on the edge of tears.
I sighed and managed to break him from me and picked him up, "You can't go with me buddy.. James wouldn't like having a little one running around.."
He tilted his head curiously, "Why would he not?"
Oop. I just stuck my foot in my mouth.
"I thought James loved us kids.." He pouted while speaking and I almost awed.
Trying to regain the conversation, without sounding dumb or like what I said was true..even thought it was, I kept a straight face. "Of course he loves you kids..He just likes his space. That's why he keeps all of you close. So he'll still have you all, but he also gets his free space ya know?"
I could see Caelum weighing out what I said. The little wheels of knowledge turning its gears in his head. "Hmmm..I guess so.."
"Okay. I will try seeing you tomorrow alright?" I sat him back down in his chair he had been in during dinner.
He pouted again, but kept to his seat. "Okay...I'm holding you to it!"
I giggled a little and smiled. "You do that. I promise Caelum..one night and half a day okay?"
"Okay."
"Maybe Okay can be y'alls always."
I turned to Josh hearing him speak with being quiet the whole time....and not helping me.
"What?"
He blinked at me. "Ya know.. Okay Hazel? Okay Augustus?" He waited for it to click to me. "Nothing?"
"Who's Hazel and Agustus?" Said Caelum who was finishing off his food.
Josh looked offended like when you take ice cream from a baby. "You.....You don't know Sabby?"
I shook my head not knowing a bit. "No. Should I?"
"Should you?! John Green? His Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters?"
He still had me at loss. And the constant repeat of the names, he acts as if it'll explain everything.
"Just tell me what you're on about Josh."
"John Green wrote a novel and then a movie was made. My God.. Sabriana..we need a deep movie night I see. What about Looking For Alaska?"
"Hmmm...nope."
Josh had a stroke. Did the whole almost fall out the chair while holding his chest heart attack stroke....So dramatic.
"You are killing me here Sab. It's one of John Greens new ones."
I sighed. Already being drained from one convo with Josh.
"Your point?"
He blinked at me again. "I love you, but you need some movi-cation. A movie education and Imma give it to you."
