Part 17

~Lilith's POV~ I woke up the next morning and found myself still in Justin's arms. He was still asleep so I slowly lifted his arm off of me and put it on his lap. I got up to find my purse on the little side table beside Justin's chair. I dug through it to find my phone. *1 New Text Message* my phone read.

From: Kelsey:D

Hey where have you been?!? I've gone to your house twice and no ones home.... Is everything okay?"

I quickly replied saying "Sorry Kelsey. I'm at the hospital, with Justin and my mom. Can you come? I'll explain everything." I pressed send as I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I jumped like two feet off the ground. I turned to see Justin. Of course. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" He said in between giggles. I glared at him before joining his laughter. I laughed until I remembered why I was in this dang hospital. My mom has cancer. Stage four, whatever that means. My mom never thought about herself and her needs, just mine. If I had only noticed there was something wrong before now, maybe it wouldn't be too late. This is my fault. I suddenly stopped laughing and somehow Justin knew exactly what I was thinking. "It's not your fault, Lilith." That's what broke me, I started bawling my eyes out. He just put an arm around me and pulled me into a hug. He then proceeded to sing to me, a song I had never heard before. "Hold on, to me as we go. As we roll down, this unfamiliar road. And although this wave, is stinging us along, just know your not alone. Cause I'm gonna make this place your home." I stopped myself from crying so I could listen to him. It was beautiful, I liked the tune. Our moment was interrupted by Kelsey barging into the small room. "OH MY GOSH Lilith are you oka-" she stopped mid-sentence when she saw us. "Am I uh, interrupting something?" She said while winking at me. "Oh uh, nope. Nothing." I said quickly realizing I was still in Justin's arms and I sat straight in my chair. Kelsey gave me a look of disbelief and Justin chuckled. "Anyway, what happened to your mom Lil?" My face instantly fell at the mention of my mom. Justin took that as a hint for him to explain, since I didn't want to talk about my moms cancer quite yet. He explained everything to Kelsey and she just hugged me and whispered some encouraging words into my ear. We were all silent for a bit, until Justin's phone rang. "Hello? Erm, now? Okay, okay I'll be right in *sigh*" Justin hung up the phone and explained to us that he needed to go have a meeting with his manager and a couple other people. "I hate to leave now but I don't really have a choice. Sorry Lil." He said and then gave me a hug. "I'll call you." Justin said while he was leaving the room. I nodded my head and me and Kelsey said our goodbyes. "We should have a girls day. To brighten your mood!" Said Kelsey out of the blue. "What? Kelsey my mom is in the hospital I can't just leave!" I said. "Yes you can! The Lilith I know would take up this offer in a heart beat." She said with a smirk. "Well that Lilith's mother is in the hospital." She grabbed my arm and handed me my phone and purse. She doesn't take no for an answer - ever - "Come on, Lilith. We're gonna have fun today!" She said with a smile on her face. Should I be worried?
